@Sixgunsound That was in a very short book I read in my homeschool civics class titled, "You have the right remain innocent" by James Duane. He advised, "Don't plead the 5th, plead the 6th." The 6th is you right to legal representation. That is an advantage of home school vs public school. As, I understand it, public schools are not going to teach anything that doesn't benefit the government or the police.

Absolutely true. No slave owner or tax cattle farmer is going to give you a way to beat them at their own game. What other books do you recommend? I’ve seen enough of public school to want to homeschool my kids. We’ve been looking into it for a while but keep getting hung up on one issue or another.
