I can proudly say I'm pro-life. I think most abortions are unnecessary unless the mothers life is threatened. Which that only accounts for under 1% of abortions.
98% of abortions happen because of people having irresponsible sex. Then they end up pregnant and decide to get an abortion. I wonder if any of these women understand what's happening to this human life they created and choosing to make it pay barbarically for their choice?
I'm proud to say I'm anti-people being stupid about sex. Both a man and woman have a responsibility to prevent a unwanted pregnancy. The majority of time a unwanted pregnancy is caused by people being stupid about sex.
Also the idea of having a abortion due to a person having financial issues is a cop-out. Simply because if you are having issues financially support yourself then you should take extra steps to ensure you don't have a child that you clearly can't support. Also you wouldn't even contemplating abortion due to your financial issues if you took steps to prevent the pregnancy in the first place. So instead of being stupid about sex how about you scrounge up 3 or 4 bucks for a box of condoms and eliminate the issue?

I also find it hilarious that most pro-life people are heavy second-amendment activists and love laws like the Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground. Look, I get that pro-life people can over-simplify the issue of abortion, but unless you're doing something to help out these children, and unless you're actually not sexually active until marriage, and unless you actually KNOW how hard it is to raise children, something that's obviously a lifelong deal, then you really have no right to complain about what other people do with their lives, let alone get the government involved. I'm pro-choice up until the six month mark, and then you might be able to call me "pro-life" (though I hate that term), but what I ethically feel is irrelevant to what a woman actually has to go through in raising a child.
There is zero logic in the pro-life argument though; it's purely based on emotion and opinions, so there can rarely be an understanding of the matter to pro-life people. So I'm done trying to tell them to just stay out of other people's lives and mind their own business.

I applaud your post not because I'm pro life. I'm not pro choice either. As a Christian at times I'm ashamed that I don't take a hard stance against abortion. But I equally can't stand the thought of a life coming into this world unloved. But the problem I have with pro choice is I feel it normalizes something that should NEVER be normalized! People want to deny it's a human life to make themselves feel better about such an act. That is the TRUTH! Because no decent human being COULD normalize ending another PERSONS life. I know there are all kinds of circumstances that further muddy up this issue, such as rape, and incest. It's also why I have deep respect for a woman that has the strength to carry a life that was thrust upon her for 9 months.
I'm not pro life but I think it should be the absolute LAST option. And when you consider most (54%) of all abortions are in pill form (I'm not saying pill form is bad) but it dehumanizes it. Personally I don't think abortion should be outlawed. But I do think except in the cases of rape, incest, and deemed medically necessary you should allowed the abortion then be sterilized. That baby has its own DNA, its own heart beat, even its own blood type that's completely separate from the woman. What about THEIR "choice"?
In the 21st century, we have multiple methods of birth control. Rather than using abortion as a birth control method, there needs to be FAR more emphasis put on pregnancy PREVENTION.

I know girls who had abortions and they had been on the pill for years, for one reason or other it failed, usually a stomach bug or even stress.
Then you have the one you miss out, where the girl is raped. When in Cambridge a girl was pretty much made by her parents to have her baby, even though it was from being raped. She managed for about a year, then committed suicide, every time she saw or carried her baby, she could remember her rape.
Yes financial comes in to this, those living in or close to poverty are often (generalising) those who failed at school, have limited education and in some countries where you pay for birth control (fucking crazy) have limited access to it financially.
The result is these families end up larger than average, 3,4 even 5 kids, each extra mouth means less for for everyone else.
You also have those trying to get themselves out of these areas, by getting educated, better job etc, then they get pregnant and their dreams are shattered… unless they go for an abortion.
The emotional impact on the girl is often over looked, this often remains with them for life.
I wonder how many ‘pro life’ would change their mind if their 17 yr old daughter became pregnant and her life of going to college to study was kicked in to touch, she would now be living at home and missing out on her dreams…
Schools give out free condoms so there is no excuse. And maybe parents need to discuss sex with their daughters instead of letting them find out on the internet, or worse, on G@G.
I think most do so their students don't get pregnant and drop out of school. Schools get a certain amount of money for each student and when students start dropping out they lose money, hence the free condoms. I also think they can help a girl get on birth control without the parents knowing.
Like 2% of abortions are from failed birth control. Every woman wants to claim their birth control failed. And what happened to making a guy wear a condom too?

Although the majority of aborted pregnancies may be unplanned, they're not simply due to “irresponsible sex,” and there's much more to consider. In many cases, the birth control practiced by responsible adults fails whether due to obesity, medication use (i. e. certain antibiotics), non-optimal contraceptive use, or many other factors.
There is not space here to get into all of the factors involved in the difficult decisions individuals make.

Fundamentally pro choice activism dosen't consider fetuses as a person. A fetuse is not alive until its born into a live birth. This is why we have birth certificates and care for complicated births.
There is a intensive due diligence at multiple points of pregnancy. we should consider birth the beginning of personhood because the birth can be a giant hurtle in of itself.

This video is inaccurate. This is actually what happens during late term abortions (which are typically wanted pregnancies). Abortions within the first trimester are typically done with a pill which causes your body to miscarry as it would naturally. This procedure would only happen if the fetus didn't fully expel or got stuck.
Either way it doesn't matter. It doesn't feel anything, the carriers life is far more important. Banning abortions only bans safe abortions. If you care about life then demand better sex Ed, demand free access to birth control, fight for paid parental leave, fight for government assistance, fight for free healthcare. Many of them also don't care about what happens to those babies once they're born. @Cherry234 No they don't care whatsoever. A close friend of mine grew up in a very conservative area of the Americas where abortion "didn't exist". The orphanages / adoption centers were overflowing with children that were unwanted. Of rape, insect. And predominantly / majority physically or mentally disabled.
Children that would be, until 18 and aged out, be constantly uprooted and shuffled between families, routinely exposed to potential abuse (which is quite common in foster homes because there are so many homes, only so many social workers & unless obvious / people report it authorities don't know shit & sometimes even then they don't care), and more often than not treated as property (because you're paid to be a foster parent) than an actual child to nuture.
Not saying all foster homes are like that. But her father worked child services, foster homes & protection for 20 years and... it wasn't easy, the things he had to deal with.

I don't like abortion either but abortion can't be banned because some women need them for life threatening situations. Rape/incest cases and health/life threatening situations to the mother or fetus should always be exceptions for abortion. If you really want to reduce the number of abortions that are performed then advocate for systems/programs that will help mothers raise their children if they aren't financially stable and that will cover the cost of their pregnancies. The adoption and foster care systems need to be fixed as well. Also, making all contraceptives (not just condoms) easily accessible and free or at least cheap to everyone would help as well.
Most women are not aware. They're told it's the right thing to do for their baby and that it's a simple procedure. They're told it's a "clump of cells". They don't even understand the risk to their own body. Later, they find out the truth and they have regrets. That's not "women's healthcare".

FYI: 4% of women who get abortions get them simply because they don't want a baby or don't want to send the baby into the adoption system while 40% (which is the majority) have an abortion due to financial reasons. How can you have a baby when you can barely support yourself, especially when the poverty levels keep rising?

there’s more than one way to aborted fetus and all of them are pretty disgusting and I agree with you 100% that if a girl does not want to have an abortion and she shouldn’t be having sex.
There will be a lot of females that will say that pregnancy can happen by accident which is only true in very rare cases of rape pregnancy and then there are some cases where it could literally kill the mother and in those rare instances abortion is almost needed but sadly the mass majority of abortions are just a form of birth control for lazy slutty females

Interesting perspective. What do you call the life of a child who's sexually/emotionally abused? Trafficked by their own parents? In order to kill a baby you first have to dehumanize it. If one focuses on the fact it has a heartbeat, a brain, tiny fingers, toes and eyes, it's a lot harder to refer to it a parasite. A newborn baby is just as helpless, defenseless and incapable of surviving on its own as an unborn baby.

I also don't hear them bitching about the Plan B pill, which could be viewed as "attempted murder" by their standard. There are a lot of pro-life people (although not all are like this) who are anti-vax conspiracy theorists. These people aren't really pro-life. They're pro-birth. They don't care what happens to those children once they're born. A significant number of abortions are in those in the lower socioeconomic status many of whom may already have other children and are struggling to make ends meet. @Subarugirl Such cases are very rare. Besides women are only fertile +/- 5 days a week. Chances for getting pregnant at ovulation are 30%, a few days before lower with each day. Beside these few days chances are similar to winning a lottery. Combining with the fact condoms break rarely - it's super rare.
