It goes without saying that there was the worst inflation in 40 years, worst crime wave since the 90’s, worst border crisis in US history and an unpopular sitting President as well as CRT in schools.

But for some reason that’s what a surprising number of people still voted for. What should’ve been a “red wave” was at best a red ripple

I’m not sure if there was fraud this time tho given how fast the results have been counted so far.

Either way I just can’t understand why so many people voted for the Dems.

Perhaps maybe campaigning chiefly on abortion wasn’t a pathetic, futile and desperate attempt after all.

It appears to be a winning strategy. But then again, that’s all they had to run on, and I guess millenial women just really enjoy engaging in reckless sexual behavior and not having the law hold them accountable.

According to the internet, 790,000 senior citizens died from COVID-19. The seniors tend to vote Republican, so a lot of people died that normally would have probably been here to vote red. That's part of it.

Abortion became a bigger issue than inflation, so a lot of votes went blue because of abortion. The bad news is those people that came out in droves to get abortion rights caused all the rest of us to continue with inflation, high gas prices, high on everything else as well. In other words, they dragged the rest of us down into their craziness.

The pundits will be analyzing this mid-term election for years. Things did happen about as history indicates, just not as big a swing to the other party as expected.

My simple opinion is that the economy is getting better, abortion was a major point for some and, as usual, Democrats did a better job of getting their supporters to the polls.

And remember, though voter turnout was the highest ever for a mid-term election, it was still less than 70% of registered voters. There are many people out there who chose not to voice their opinion at the polls... it would be interesting to find out how they would have voted.

-Democrats/leftists (with few exceptions) have degenerated and (seemingly) do not care about specific issues nor individual candidates, only ideology/identity. They’re hyper-partisan and will not vote any other way, “power at all costs!”

-Republicans/right (with some exceptions) still analyze issues and cross-check candidates. This naturally leads to divergent opinions (healthy in a free country!). Unfortunately, this has now bitten them twice in a row, considering they are competing against a ‘hive-mind’ opposition.

It's not as strong but we have a similar stuff in school (but it depend mainly on the teacher if the teacher is right wing we don't have it but if he's leftist they try to brainwash us though it happened only in high school for me though I left school in 2016 so it been quite fews years maybe thighs are different now). I also live in the countryside, I was in a tiny school we weren't even 15 in the whole school and we learnt a lot about religious architecture and French king, we never learned a single things about a foreign country just France.
In middle school we learnt mostly France and a bit of Italy (Renaissance), England (hundred years war) and Germany (WW1 and WW2) and the cold war America / soviet union.
We learned a lot of Black slavery in America in high school though and talked a lot about immigrant I don't know if it was cause it was high school or cause the program had changed.
My middle school was pretty Catholic though cause we didn't have the right to eat any meat product on Friday and we had cake. Well when it comes to incumbent candidates particulalry governors they can be difficult to unseat, the public doesn't like the instability of changing offices. Also it can be difficult to win elections with fringe candidates, sure there fringe districts that will elect an AOC or a Marjorie Taylor Greene but trends usualy show the most sucessful candidates appeal not only to their base which may be far left or right but also appeal to indendents as well as moderate rebulicans and democrats.
