I think this is a decision the Ukraine needs to make, food export is a huge part of their economy. Their country is being destroyed.

Fighting against Russia is stupid in the first place. We're pushing them towards having a strategic alliance with China, and any non-Nato country to revive a bigger and better warsaw pact.

Oh no, they're steamrolling a country that put troops in a combat stance on their border. So what? We were a crappy ally to the Ukraine before this war started, could see that they were going to get stomped, and only hastened their demise by entering an ambiguous relationship with them.

Either fight hard and annex the country, or let it go to Russia, these proxy wars for peace and democracy are BS. We've had enough Afghanistan and Iraqs where we "spread democracy" for trillions of dollars, thousands of lives, and they overturn it the second we leave.

We need to change our warfare to conquering, or not do it at all. I agree with them conquering their enemy, it sets a good example of how you should treat your enemies, their resources, people, and warfare in general. We're being hypocrites simply because we don't keep anything after a war. That's just us being stupid, not everyone else needs to be as well.

Depends. The way I see it the west is ready to try a different way to ensure food exports are maintained by literally assembling their own fleet and running the exports themselves while basically daring Russia to have the balls to interfere with them. As such I find this other method to be already rendered moot since either the west will just ship it out anyway or Russia is going to make a massive mistake and drag NATO into the war against it which both negates the need to change the sanctions.

Furthermore I dont trust Russia to honor a deal like this in the first place

Food exports is not really going to be an issue for the Ukrainian economy as that it is probably going to be rebuilt after the war by the support of the west. The problem is that we are talking about exports of food, that people around the world needs to live. People are going to die if that food does not get exported.

but I think russia is federation. Is it possible ukraine can join in. They even share the same culture in recent era.
Of course it is hard option but if at first, ukraine can take care of close-russian's thought that would not happen this war. so maybe need upper government to adjust it.
