January 6th seems pretty small compared to the damages done by leftists.

Don’t get me wrong either. I don’t support either action and feel they were both stupid but it’s pretty hypocritical to bring up January 6th while ignoring the damage differences.

If the BLM riots caused over $1B in insurance damages and over $2B in property damages, why do people complain over Jan 6 causing $3M in damages?

I’ve had similar conversations with people about this subject. They seem unable to rationally think about it.

They will go on to say: “Jan 6th was an assault on our democracy” while completely ignoring the fact 7 square blocks of Seattle ceded in the summer of 2020 and declared themselves autonomous. That is a real insurrection. Jan 6th, stupid as it was, was a bunch of fools sitting at Nancy Pilosi's desk and milling about on the floor of Congress taking selfies.

They will also go on to say Jan 6th was an attempted coups. No, it was a riot perhaps, but not a coups. I mean…all would be revolutionaries storm their nations capital without fire arms, without seizing communications, without decapitating the leaders so they cannot lead, without seizing control of the military right? Doing those things is a real coups. What happened on Jan 6th, was yes, a very serious breach of security but it was a riot not a coups.

Then as you put it is the money issue in which they focus on the 3 mil but ignore the larger amount of damage monetarily. As if the billions in damages are a non issue.

As soon as any of these are mentioned they tell you they won’t talk about Whataboutisms. As if all these points I made are not valid and demonstrate hippocracy. These people want trials and accountability for Jan 6th but not for the succession in Chaz. They want to talk about monetary damages at the Capital Building but not about the billions in damages in the summer of 2020 which were authorized by politicians who had police and national guard stand down and did little to nothing to end those riots. So, they’re being disingenuous. They claim to care about insurrections but not when people who favor their brand of politics did one. They are concerned about monetary damages, but not the monetary damage from the summer of 2020. They care about coups at the capital and which politicians they believe incited that, but do not mention the basically Democrat authorized Marxist coups all through the summer of 2020. If you think one of the motives for letting those riots go so long was not to see if it happened in enough places for a full blown revolution to occur, you’re kidding yourself.

So to them Jan 6th is the be all end all and they will completely ignore the rest. It’s as if they can’t see all of these things plus Jan 6th was wrong regardless of which brand of politics these people favor.

TV is keeping January 6th (the broken window at the capitol) alive, and they will keep it fired up on the front burner until 2024 to scare people from voting republican. Because one was a traitorous attempt to overthrow the government and the other wasn't. If you can't see the difference between angry people breaking shit to draw attention to systemic racism and people attempting to overthrow a democratically elected government then there's no speaking to you. Sure riots suck but Jan. 6th will always be a tragedy and stain on our nation going forward. It was nothing but rebels trying to overthrow The American Experiment. Nations around the world that look unfavorably at America use it as a rallying cry at how the American system is broken and doesn't work and how the world shouldn't look towards the US for anything for governance or inspiration for anything. If that isn't shameful enough for Americans, the elected president at the time delayed action to thwart the traitors as well. Because BLM and Antifa are the brownshirts of the regime. They are paid by corporations and NGOs and recycle a lot of the cash into DNC campaign funds.
