Do people automatically assume I am the receptionist because I’m a woman?

I am a property manager at an apartment complex. It is a small complex so I work in an office by myself. Many times I am referred to as a receptionist which does not make sense to me as I am the only person here. Who would I be a receptionist for? When I worked as a leasing agent at a larger property, I understood why I was mistaken as one even if I didn’t like it as I was front and center before other staff and I was who you should go through if you wanted to speak to someone else and I was the only one who answered the phone but that’s really only because no one else wanted to answer it which was annoying. But it’s just me here and I just can’t imagine someone mistaking me for a receptionist if I were a man. I feel like this is an example of casual sexism in our society. No one means any harm when they refer to me as such, but they assume this role belongs to me because I am a woman. Or at least, that’s how it seems. What do you think?
