Really it's just because they cake makeup on themselves like no one's business.
Personally, I'm most attracted to American Caucasian girls. Or Hispanic girls. So, in general, I view them as generally more attractive than others. Though, there are lots of beautiful women all over the world. But no. American girls are just influenced by the media so outrageously that they feel pressured to look as good as they possibly can. So they take hours and hours caking makeup on their faces and gluing long eyelashes on and such.
You also have to realize that a LARGE portion of American women are obese.

I would say the same about Australia! Every time a see a picture of a girl from there I think they're gorgeous. Is that not true?
No. There are attractive and unattractive people in all cultures. And what's attractive will vary from person to person, but there is a 'typically attractive' to most people. Of course those attractive people are going to more looked at and presented in videos and whatnot. The majority if people will continue to watch someone they find attractive. Ugly girl? NEXT VIDEO. Get what I'm sayin? 'Pretty girls' get more views.
No. It's the magic of Photoshop or makeup. People who are at least decent looking are more likely hired to be on TV. If they're hot they are definitely hired.

The nice looking girls are more shown on TV/online since there are many people in the US who have jobs/access to a camera that they overshadow the not so decent looking girl in the media.
No, the magazines are edited and plastic surgery girls.. If you come to America you will see all types of women ugly , pretty, fat, skinny,and don't depend on the media to show an American girl.

American girls aren't any more attractive than girls from any other country. In general there will always be more average looking people than especially attractive people in any culture.
When I was in high school I hardly saw any obese girls, most of them were on the thin side, and walking around outside at the mall or other heavily populated areas I see average sized people, so I don't see where the idea that "the average American is obese" is coming from. It is interesting though to see that people from other countries looking-in on the U.S. have such a belief.
I actually think Americans, in general, are less attractive than other countries. Don't they have a 32% obesity rate or something ridiculous? They do have over 300 million people though, so it's pretty much impossible not to have millions of beautiful people - males and female.
TV is not reality, not even close.
The US is the most diverse country in the world. The people come form everywhere. It has more immigrants than the next 4-5 leading countries combined. Somewhere like California there is not even a majority ethnic group. So bottom line is that Americans pretty much look like the rest of the world, except for things like fashion and makeup.
I guess Yes they are so attractive like angels walking on the street. Not only White but girls of every race. It's like a vegetable market where you have lots of options.
But believe me there are hardly genuine relationships especially when they are in teenage or early 20's. You could easily go heartbroken in relationship.
Also increasing number of slutty girls in American culture is a huge problem.
Considering the obesity rates are so high in the U.S no. Most American girls are not attractive. When I was in Europe holy cow so many more hot girls.

definitlly not of course the ones you encounter on TV and movies and the web are extremley hot because that is what they want to present. the majority however are no wherere near those, from my experiance of going there several times most look like they spend thrice the itme at fast food resteraunts then the gym.
It depends on where you live. If you live in a wealthy city there are tons of "hot girls" around all the time. Not every girl is good looking but there is a higher proportion of good looking girls where ever the money is. The moment you roll over into the neighboring cities, "hot girls" become far less common.
Are they? Only the ones who are in front on TV and some of YouTube are, rest are normal and don't forget the highest obesity rate over there. Personally, I'd take an Asian (including middle east and south east) any day over an American.

Just all in the portrail by the media. Guys here think the same about austrailians english girls and girls from spain. We think they are all very attractive because they are the only ones to get noticed

depends on where you go. if you are outside the theatre going to see wicked or something where they are serving 20 dollar bottles of pepsi then yes. if you are at phils burgers and such then not so much.
A lot of American girls don't put a lot of effort into their appearance, which I found to be a real difference compared to Australia and Europe in general.

No, not all American girls are hot. From my experience with Australian girls, you're girls are far more forward and easy to deal with. American girls would eat you alive. ha ha =P
