The incumbent in Georgia will face off against “abortion-is-ok-for-me-but-not-you” GOP Walker. And Dems did squeak a win the first time.

The Democrats out number the Republican's overall. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that "Vote for the candidate", instead of the party. The reason that is just stupid is that maybe that person you voted for will vote a certain way in the one or two issues you voted for him for. However, over the course of the 2, 4 or 6 yr term, they will vote along party lines most of the time. It would be nice if there were no parties and we could have everyone vote common sense. But it will never be that way in our lifetime. So pick the party you most identify with and vote that way. I have been a Democrat my whole life, but officially since 1984. Back in those days, they televised most of both the Democrat and republican conventions. I watched both all the way through, and knew I could never side with republican's, as they only want to take away rights, and give all the money to the rich and big business.
Now people can get fooled. Trump the Traitor fooled a lot of people. But by the end of 4 years, even republican's couldn't take him anymore. I think Trump was great for American in that he was so bad, such a traitor to our nation, that even the republican's crossed the isle to vote him out. Which will lead the country to better everything.
Yes, I think we will take Georgia. We still have problems with the Republican's trying to rig elections. Funny how when people elect them, there was never any tampering. Exactly how does that work? we have the most secure election process in the world. We need the red hat lemmings to get fucked like we need the traitor in jail. They are destabilizing our country and making it easier for our enemy's to bring down this country. And while a lot needs to be brought down, we need to do that the right way. Everyone deserves a home.
Everyone deserves healthcare
Everyone deserves the right to vote
period...
@TroyDT2 That is what we have, and will probably only have in our lifetimes. It would be best for everyone if there were a strong 3rd, or even 4th, 5th and 6th party to vote for. The unfortunate reality is that voting for that 3rd party is mostly throwing your vote away. However, sometimes it is the answer. For instance, here in Michigan back in the 1998, an attorney Geoffrey Fieger ran for Governor. He was the Democrat version of Trump. There is no way I would vote for him, as I am a solid Democrat but not "blue over anyone" as I am educated. But in the end, I just could not bring myself to vote Republican. So I just didn't vote for Governor that year. Had there been a 3rd party, I would have voted for them. Having that 3rd party can also sway an election. When Ross Perot ran for President, he took enough votes away from Bush that Bill Clinton, the best President of my lifetime. won easily. Had Perot not run, it might have been a much closer race.
Presuming that the same number of people vote in the runoff election, and cast the same votes, then yes.
The Democratic candidate, Warnock, already garned more votes. It's just that, under Georgia law, neither candidate wins unless they receive more than 50% of the vote, and neither did.
The election was close enough, though, that it could still go either way. If even a small number of people don't vote again, or change their vote, then either candidate still has a chance to win.
without a third party candidate to siphon votes away from warnock i think there's literally no contest here... but we will see
@Still-alive They might have been avoiding voting for Walker. It's too close to call, which is a sad state of affairs. And, of course, Democrats will still be lumbered with Manchin and Sinema, even if they keep the Senate.
It's difficult to say. I guess I would have to look at the platform by the Libertarian candidate that ran, maybe that would give some clues on how those voters would vote if they show up at the run-off.
And speaking of, lol, this article popped up in my yahoo feed, very interesting indeed I wonder how many of supporters will vote in the run off.

Because it really upsets us 🙄
Try harder. Or at least come up with something that isn’t so goddamn boring.
No one cares about whether a football player got someone an abortion. It’s a goddamn NFL player and you’re expecting them to be sensible and logical? They get hit in the head for a goddamn living lol.
No, not really. Stop with the stereotype that conservatives all care about abortion. A lot of us really don’t give a shit. A lot of us don’t go to church and could care less. But I know it’s easier to just stereotype us all as a bunch of Bible thumpers.
People of normal intelligence and higher see through Republican BS. :)

Here in PA, we had some extreme ass republicans. I don’t think Oz was too too terrible tbh. But he lost to Fetterman.
Mastriano was a fucking nut job piece of shit, I’m glad he lost. He came out and said he’d decertify any machine that “votes out of line”, he called all abortion murder, even in rape and incest. He was going to make gay marriage illegal. He was a christian nationalist. He was paying members of Gab for an alliance. He was part of the Jan 6 mob. I got no problem voting out of my political party but dude was nuts.
Let's hope! The fact that Herschel Walker made it this far is bad enough. That guy literally cannot speak, like, he actually does not know how to speak in his own language. He is even more incoherent than Trump. That's how retarded he is. And the whole thing with the paid abortions and having offspring all over the place without owning up to it.
That's how little Republican voters care about any kind of principles or anything. They just want their MAGA cult to have more power. These lunatics need to be stopped.
I think the two candidates could both drop dead right now and it wouldn't change a thing regarding what's about to descend upon Georgia. Billionaires with nothing to do but figure out how to get their taxes cut will pour so much money into the state's media it will be clutter within clutter of ads and ridiculousness. And democrats will no doubt also see an uptick in donations, since they don't have much to worry about countrywide for a while.
I am sure it is not intentional but this Georgia run off gets a general election feel last few times, Nevada has just declared so DEMS have control with VP vote. Georgia would give them committee control. I suspect six weeks of heavy hitting , fundraising and big name rallies like an old style heavyweight boxing title bout of 70s/80s. If I was put on spot right now (no info just a quess) Warnock hold
I heard Democrats won in both Nevada and Arizona.
One can only hope. Walker is a toadie and a brainless fool. It also looks like the Dem in Nevada will overtake the lead as the very heavily Democratic Clark Country vote gets tallied.
I think that Georgia will elect Walker in the same way they elected Kemp who won by a comfortable margin against Democrat diva Stacy (nutbag) Abrams/
Probably.
Republicans just don't seem to understand how postal voting works, is why.
Cartoon looking Warnock won't get lucky a 2nd time around with run-offs.
He won a run-off back in 2020 but to do it twice in a row is very unlikely.
Yeah, Dems kinda kicked but in an off year election
I hope. Even the smallest advantage here (and it is a tiny, tiny advantage) can make a big difference.
At this point it looks like people still favor Democrats and it's going to be a while before meaningful change comes along.
Yes we will win both Nevada and Georgia... just stay tuned! Nevada is gonna start leaning blue any moment now.
lol get wrecked downvoter
Doesn't matter. With the Nevada win the Democrats already keep the Senate.
Just follow Trump to prison, where he will ask you to send money to his commissary account.
The Republicans have no chance of controlling the Senate, so what motivation do they have to turn out for the runoff election?
I wish the Democratic party would be destroyed once and for all
how would you go about doing that i wonder?
@Still-alive gtfo libtard lol
So just genocide is your answer huh? Nice
People are not dumb Dems been off the last 2 years Walker will win
Walker is still better than pastor "run over my wife" Warnock.
yes they will cheat Walker out of it
