I am surprised that nobody wrote an opinion stating that “A - Inflation in the USA is transitory” is the biggest lie.

And, stepping back a bit, I think the biggest (and most destructive) lie is the idea that “I have “The Truth” and here it is: “_______,,” and if you disagree with me/this then your contrary words (free speech) needs to be censored because that is “misinformation/disinformation” or something worse.

Voted OTHER, because on day 1 he signed EO's that killed jobs in the fossil energy industry, then he promised there would be better paying jobs in the renewable energy market to take those jobs.

So far in these small towns in WY where jobs were destroyed by Biden, no new better paying Renewable Energy jobs have taken their place.

If new jobs were created, they weren't in the same area's that they were destroyed in... but that is irrelevant as he promised NEW ones to replace those he destroyed, which inheritably means in the same small towns.

Biden's approach to going greener is not well thought out, but coal mining is clearly not the answer for future energy issues. Transitions to other power sources need to be made, and instead of lying as you pointed out, the administration should be working with both the mining companies and the new resource. Problem is - why does the mining company want to stop while there's still more coal? They don't, and won't, unless forced to. But forcing them to without anything in place to replace the jobs and energy, is asinine, I agree.

@loveslongnails The free market way would be best, get so much cheap renewable energy, without forcing anyone, or adding taxes to make fossil fuel more expensive and the free market will slowly shut down coal mining and coal plants.

This also includes removing any subsidies for the energy sector, both renewables and fossil. After all if renewables is that cheap, then companies will be all over building plants to harvest it.

Then maybe people can stop driving coal powered cars.

Its also asinine and VERY IRRESPONSIBLE for someone to say that they’re going to cut off fossil fuels and force a transition to electric cars before when the country is able to absorb/accommodate such a transition — given that there is such small current alternative energy production & availability and shaky state electric grids in the USA.

Also:
Electric car batteries are SO NOT green (and the raw materials that take to make those batteries come from China) & the electricity that is currently generated to recharge electric cars comes from fossil fuels.

There are incentives all over the place in the US economic system, from energy to agriculture to taxes to sports. The same weaning process would be necessary. There are other problems with some renewable sources. Take wind for example. Wind farms are unsightly to a lot of people and they don't want them in their backyard or within view even. They claim it lowers property resale value but their taxes remain the same, so getting them approved has been a problem in some areas.

One decent thing the admin is doing is wind farms off the Pacific Coast - finally. Dogger Bank in the UK is now open and is the largest in the world. By 2026, it will power 45 million homes, with a single turbine providing energy for 16,000 homes! This is brilliant, in my opinion, and a long time coming.

All of that is true, sadly enough. The grid issue should be addressed first. Obviously, the idea is to have wind and solar eventually do the bulk of electricity generating. Transitions like this are never easy, and a far better plan is needed. Unfortunately, Congress as a whole doesn't see this need for a better plan, or even the need for transition in some cases, which is one reason the whole thing is fucked. Throw in payoffs and corruption and all the distractions and this is what we get.
