Have you ever met a murderer?

Completely random question, but have any of you ever met someone who went on to commit murder?

I had this one guy who used to come see me at the club every weekend and we used to drink together at the bar near closing hours. He was really nice to me, Mexican, middle aged with some grey in his full head of hair, looked a bit like George Clooney, he seemed intelligent, all prim and proper, his English was fluent, so I assumed he was a businessman.

One day he stopped showing up and I started asking questions. I learned that he got busted by the feds, turned out Mexican George Clooney was a high ranking lieutenant in one of the major drug cartels and was responsible for a crap ton of people getting killed under his orders.

If you went to school with a good amount of students then you have. Because at least one will kill someone. Now an actual serial killer that's way more rare but if just speaking killing one person yeah that's pretty much granted you already have just by going to school.

As for a more definitive knowing I've met one, I would say no? With a question mark since I did knew some teen gangs back in highschool and knew people who could get a gun if needed along with knowing a lot of criminal stuff that went down. Along with been friends with some of the more troubled ones.
It's not hard to think someone there has or was going to kill someone at some point.

Depending on how you define it I've known a few. Some people consider veterans murders, but my x millitary buddies are usually pretty decent people even if they're sometimes obviously traumatized.

I've even met a few immigrants from rougher parts of the world that have told me about some really messed up stuff they had to do back home.

I think you'd be surprised just how many people have that potential in them if presented with a situation where it becomes a necessity.

What really scares me though, are the ones who like it a bit too much.

Yes, I have. Attempted murder, failed attempt. In my family. He was a cop. Yep, it's super fucked up.

I work in a prison, so yeah, I’ve met a lot of murderers. Lol

Yes , I became friends with a guy at my 1 job
that I hung out with on occasion, he was a laid back guy and use to make me laugh , he didn’t seem like the type to harm anyone but he ended up murdering his wife and the guy she was cheating on him with , he is behind bars for life , apparently he stabbed both of them repeatedly with a knife when he busted them cheating , from my understanding, they had stab wounds up and down their whole body

I've known a couple of people who had been to prison for murder. I used to work with one of them.

I knew another guy who worked at the local car parts store. One day I heard he killed his own son. Like wtf?

The thing is that all of these guys were nice guys. The real scumbags I've known did other stuff. I worked with a guy who was in prison for gang raping a woman and they threw her out a second story window when they were done.

No, not someone who went on to murder someone but who already "negligently killed" someone. He shot his friend in the face with a shotgun "by accident". The conjecture among the locals is that he did it to eliminate a love rival. It was done under the premise of showing off his shotgun.

Convicted felon, negligent manslaughter. Served two months and years of probation.

i think we all have and usually would never know because they walk amongst all of us in plain sight along with being very family oriented and are very polite to civilians where in the line of business they are in comes a code of silence and as long as you aren't in business with them you would never know

There was a kid I went to high school with and when he was 20 years old he was in a club and got into it with some other guy. He ended up following this guy home and he beat him to death. He was convicted of manslaughter.

I've met folks who killed a person due to what was happening to them, like a fight or protecting another person. You might not consider them murderers perse but jus cause they did time for it in prison they have this tag anyway 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yup i have in prison (not that i was in prison... goshh) i used to visit a guy who lived in prison as if he was living outside i mean he acted all bossy n i heard he had killed sum people

Sure a few that had criminal ties and another guy from my youth club is in a psych ward for killing his girlfriend during an episode

Almost interviewed one. The prison shut our production down.
I did charity thing in a lighter prison for good behavior inmates. Spoke with a lot of them about business, etc. I’m sure one was for murder.

I worked with a normal sociable married guy, who one day we read in the news had been arrested for killing his aunt regarding some kind of arranged marriage gone wrong.

Yes I knew him before and since his release. If you knew the circumstances of his crime you'd understand why I'm still friends with him
