my mom would get pisseddd when I wouldn’t match my outfit- she was old school. The type who would wear a light blue/ turquoise dress 👗 with matching colored shoes and a hair clip.

Me? Everything was a different color 😂 and the more I added to my fit, the worst it got for others to behold lmaoo

(Some like- cheetah print headband, with pearl earings, grey shirt, blue jeans, brown or red flats 🥿) I mean, everything would be different lol

And I would absolutely not care if anyone said anything to me about it. I would tell them- this is how I’m going outside

I think that they are because they set an unrealistic standard of beauty BUT the reason that they're unrealistic isn't because it's hard to be in as good shape as the girls on instagram. It's because most women don't have the genetics to meet those beauty standards. I think fit physiques should be the ones put on a pedestal as long as most of them also have the flaws that most of us are born with (ones like these):

Yes. And who is getting rich from it? Makeup and fashion industry.
and what’s the damage? Body dysmorphia and twisted self images because young girls can’t attain “beauty” so they go off the deep end doing self harm or worse.

and it was easy to blame old white men as owners and CEOs of these industries…but women started taking control and they continued in the same path. Greed at the expense of the youth.

Yes I agree the beauty standards are toxic. Women have a tendency to put on a mask everyday and flaunt their beauty around. Who are they trying to impress their man that they've have or another man. I go into debt to keep up with the latest beauty secret. My opinion is their beauty is deep within third person. When I see my woman She glows with her beauty especially when I'm around her.
