Why do people make a big deal out of double standards?

People who support double standards are in the minority, most people don't care unless it's violence like man hitting woman, but other than that, people don't care much.

If a male or female does crime A, they should do same amout of time. There shouldn't be any double standards what so ever. But we live in a world that has them. You don't have to agree but got to live with it.

Double standards means you dont actually have any standards on something and are just arbitrarily changing them based on personal bias. It is inherently unfair and marks you as a dishonest or ignorant person.

A concerning amount of people don't care if a woman hits a man. A concerning amount of people believe a female teacher can't rape a male student. I could keep going. When people see or hear people defending something disgusting and twisted, the normal response to that is outrage.
