Serious question, How is having the right to repair your stuff, be it electronics or cars, racist or redlining or causing sexual assault?

In the state of Massachusetts, they passed a right to repair law, basically forcing auto makers to provide access to the OBD systems to individuals. Allowing individuals to diagnose their car. The car industry made advertisements against it using scare tactics saying having access to such data guarantees that women will be raped and racism would run rampant. I honest to god do not see how there could even be a connection to right to repair. Its part of why when people scream racism and sexism i just do not pay attention to them. The terms have lost all meaning.

It's not about the port. You'd have to watch the video to get this, but some really recent car generations have removed the port in favor of wireless only access to the car. Which is what the car manufacturers are trying to permanently block access to.
