Why do so many people get triggered by the term alpha male. It just describes men who are charismatic, natural leaders, and they obviously exist. If there's another term you want to use that makes you less triggered, that's fine. Call them whatever you want.
I believe that some people are leaders and others are followers. Still others do their own thing. But the laughable, "I'm an Alpha" nonsense we usually get on this site? I think my question answered my thoughts on that.
@slatyb humans aren't any different. there are those who we delegate as our leaders via elections i. e. presidents, prime ministers etc. or via job policy i. e. CEOs, military officers etc. or simply because the group decides they are the best suited for leadership i. e. Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. is the last player off the Chicago Bulls bench on par with Michael Jordan? or the last player off the New England Patriots bench on par with Tom Brady?
It's impossible to deny the concept of "alpha" or whatever since the concept is present in chimps & other primates that evolved closely with us, we apply it in a much more complex way but we still retain hierarchal structure socially
In primate species their groups are lead by alpha males. Watch any documentary about chimpanzees or gorillas and remember that these animals are the most similar creatures to humans.

then what do you call a Silverback Gorilla? or a Male Lion who rules his pride? or the largest Male crocodile within other crocodiles?
Those are non-human species.

And guess what? None of those people proclaim themselves as "alpha" males. By far most of the men who say they are "alpha males" are of low status.
@slatyb that's right. other people give them the alpha status. not themselves
No. Anyone with a lick of intellect knows alpha/beta is total BS. Humans are very complex creatures, we are not animals.
Actually we are scientifically classed as animals
Biologically speaking, yes. There are many things that separate us from animals in our behavior though
Why is it "believe in"? You either see and observe something or you don't. Leaders do exist.

Alpha males would be successful men with very high status. Not very egoistic cry babies that are in a utterly power trip.
Those two are actually quite correlated
I believe there are are men who are more masculine and others less so,
Only betas don’t believe in alpha because they can’t compete
there is a reason it’s lonely at the top
When the argument is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser
@bingbongbangbung
The same thing applies for people
Insults come from the bottom
Of course. There are men that are confident and leaders, and those that aren’t.
Yes, I am. I am not saying this at random. When I see something goes wrong I take the control if I need.
That howling wolf got me laughing haha
No obviously not
No, it is all nonsense.
Lol nah
I believe that society is a f***ing zoo.
Not sure...
Nowadays NO!
