I’m a conservative and I really do not want Trump vs Biden again. No. Hell no. I want DeSantis because I think he will make a far better president when it comes to policy.

But Trump is crushing it in the primary polls right now. His core base sees voting for him as ”getting revenge” on leftists. They see it as fighting back at the corrupt system.

In a way I share their anger. But what matters more to me is 1) policy 2) long term results (Trump can only serve 4 years). Also I groan at the possibility of having to deal with liberals acting deranged over Trump again and the whole circus that comes with it. The problem is Trump actually loved negative attention. He invites and says/does stupid and unnecessary things just he loves the added attention. I just don’t want to see that again.

I just am disappointed by how many people (both left and right) vote based on emotions and theatrics of political candidates. Politicians are NOT entertainers. They aren’t meant to be “celebrities”. They are meant to be public servants to push forth policy that’s best for the country.

Also just got the record I do NOT believe the election was “stolen” from Trump legally speaking. It was figuratively stolen from given our leftist mass media, mass communication and big tech.

Jimmy Carter still has full Secret Service protection because he's still considered a potential target, and he's 98 years old and has been on hospice care since April. I just know that the polls of a likely matchup between Trump and Biden in the 2024 election show them tied or Trump leading by a few points. The opposite was the case prior to the 2020 election.

@angrycarl2 I don’t want him on the ticket. No. In fact I would be happy if he got indicted and disqualified from running in the primaries. I say that as a conservative because as much as I hate Biden I know liberals use Trump as an excuse to act deranged. Trump actually eggs on and LIKES that negative attention.

But Trump is WAY ahead in the primaries right now. Core republicans see this as “revenge” for 2020. They also see him as being unfairly targeted by Biden’s DOJ and the deep state. And while I doubt Trump never did anything nefarious (he’s not a long thinker) he literally intentionally sets himself up because he loves the drama. He thrives on negative attention.

Look at how the Hunter Biden scandal has been drowned out of the media headlines and instead it’s all about Trumps indictments. This influences swing voters and independents. If you are a conservative please do NOT vote for Trump in the primaries. No. This isn't 2016. Vote for DeSantis because he has a much better chance at winning the general election. That’s what really terrifies democrats.

@exitseven not a bad idea. But it’s scary (and stupid) how many short sighted conservatives are going to vote for Trump in the primary.

I personally want Biden OUT. Gone. He’s absolutely horrible. Both optically and for what really matters: policy.

But I see what the democrats are up to here. They are setting up this heinous trap for republicans by thrusting Trump in the spotlight. It’s up to republicans to see the light of day to understand what’s going on. The setup. But there are too many diehard low information Trump “supporters” out there who are going to give the entire election to Biden. They don’t THINK about what really matters: independents and swing voters. They won Trump the 2016 election. But they reversed in 2020 and might vote against him AGAIN in 2024 given all that’s going on.
