You need parental help and a large shared family income to make in America. It’s obviously the cause of most of the problems you see today with mental illness, drug addiction, and homelessness. Being from a broken home due to a nasty divorce (which most divorces are which are total messes), or being born due to an pregnancy that wasn’t planned, will put you at a serious disadvantage and you likely won’t make it in society.

Lots of divorces are clean, quick and involve coparenting so those kids would be fine for the most part. But what you said is true especially if it’s a really messy home and stays that way throughout a kids whole childhood. My home was broken (not because of divorce but for other much more severe reasons), and it messed me up pretty bad. I ended up in foster care from the age of 10 and on hard drugs by 16. Luckily all that is behind me now, but for heaps of other people out there, they will continue to struggle in their lives unfortunately for a long time.
Yes, I was from a broken home. Besides the lack of money, it made it hard for me to have a normal relationship with a girl.
Same. I had sex with a lot of different women which I don’t recommend. I was bad at keeping a long term relationship. I see how a lot how a lot weaker kids join gangs and do drugs because of it.
Yes, children raised without both parents are higher risk for every negative outcome.
