What I do know is in my profession as a nurse, I have met many women of many ages as co-workers and patients and they are all quite different because the job attracts many different personalities and patients come from all walks of life.

I can't say I'm surprised that college women are immature, I was very immature when first went to college, I was talked into going into computer science which I failed at it because I was in it for the wrong reasons trying to prove I was something that I wasn't. I went out to work in the real world for a while and discovered healthcare and loved it. I balk at the person I was when I was at 19 and 20 because I've grown up and realized what was important in life.

Have you tried meeting women outside of the college setting? For instance where do you go to meet women? Have you tried doing some sort of community or church volunteering? Sometimes colleges have church groups. It's getting tougher these days to meet people in public, and I think everyone who wants to meet at bars and clubs are getting more shallow, meeting quality people can be tough for men and women. I was perfectly nice and wholesome but I was a bit plain and awkward around guys at that age, and probably even still, so I relate with the todays young men having trouble finding dates. I keep hearing, reading rather that there were plenty of nice guys around for me to choose from but I suppose they were too shy to ask me out, they were never around in droves like so many users here to say they obviously were. When some young men complain about not finding women (not you but others on here) I want to ask them : are you just after highly attractive women? Are you willing to date plain women who are a bit geeky or dorky like I was? lol

No it’s not uncommon but it’s too bad there is no easy way for wholesome young men (like yourself) and young women to venture out beyond the college campus. For instance when I was in nursing school I did a few volunteer gigs. One was at the local food shelf and there were a group of young 18 to 25 year old Americorp volunteers there. It was one of their assignments. I don’t know if any of them were dating but they seemed very responsible and level headed. I have read stories also of couples meeting during volunteer service such as at Americorp. Anyway don’t get too discouraged you are still young.. I believe there is a nice young women out there for you even if they do seem rare.

Aside from your video, which is a bit stupid, I can tell you that American women to us come across assertive, determined, and love to talk. Sort of the same for men, really. That's usually my impression of Americans. American women come in all shapes, sizes, colours, ages--so to pinpoint what the impression is of American women, by blanketing them all is not going to give a fair answer. They're all so different.

Your video is just showing little girls who didn't understand the question because they got caught up in the whole 'how much should he make' quotient, and clearly didn't understand the monogamy part. They probably didn't even know what the word meant. It's not a secret that your young people in the US are not very capable of comprehension, and work on one aspect of a question at a time. I say you've put together a question where you solely want answers about girls (not women) like the ones in the video you selected, rather than really take a look at all the other women you're missing out on, or choosing to forget exist.
