The biggest misconception about feminism is that it is about equality. Feminism is about women's interests. It has no interest in men's issues or interests. Equality must consider both sides of an equation, not just one, so feminism is by definition not about equality.

On the subject of misconceptions, feminism creates and perpetuates a lot of misconceptions as well, one being the perception that women earn less than men due to sexism. The reality is that women earn less because of their own life choices.

Another big misconception feminism perpetuates is that feminism isn't anti-male. It is, obviously.
