What is the definition by the internet and today's society of a woman?

What makes me a girl? It's not biological, not society cause they can't choose who I am. It's not how I behave cause I can be a tom boy fixing cars and doing manly work.

Is it just how I dress on the internet? How ever social media sees me? Not in public! Irl

Just being feminine? Yet if there is no fixed definition for a women how do you be feminine if that itself can be anything?

According to most it is not biological or gender! It's not behavior cause I can act how I want and still be a girl.

It's not how u dress or act or look or talk, the rules for all that shit change with society. Even the word "girl" used to be gender neutral. & woman has changed meaning too over time, where in the past or diff culture u maybe wouldn't be considered a "real woman" if u didn't dress or act by certain rules. & legally, u still have to jump through hoops in places like America if u need to change ur gender marker from what a Dr guessed based on ur baby genitals. In some states they actually require u to have genital surgery before ur allowed to change the gender marker on ur driver's license. Like wtf do we even need a gender marker on a DRIVERS LISCENCE for? But a license doesn't make u a woman so it doesn't rlly matter ig...

Anyway. In common understanding today, woman has a more abstract but prolly more accurate criteria of personal identity, rather than social rules or physical categories. But funny enough there's still gray areas. Where b4 the gray areas was intersex people or tomboys or other diff shit like that, now the gray area is nonbinary feminine people. Like they're not a woman, but they're closer to a woman than a man. I think. I only know 1 nonbinary person and they're not fem or masc so, I'm mostly got that from what I've read about it, not personal xp or accounts. It's not like I know much about intersex people either tho. In this case I think u just need the general concept to make the point:

Gender has never been neat and easy to define, but it's usually recognizable. Now more by people of themself than by society. Which I think is nice. It's nice to not have to hide or pretend ur whole life to apease society.

Studies show that transgender women have different brains as compared to average men. There's a big difference, to me at least, between a cross-dresser who's acting like the opposite gender for fun, fame and attention, and a person with gender dysphoria. One is a man, the other is a transgender woman.
I encourage people to look into studies like this article, 'Gender Dysphoria: A Review Investigating the Relationship Between Genetic Influences and Brain Development' by Ferdinand J O Boucher and Tudor I Chinnah, as it goes into the exact cognitive differences between a cis and transgender mind.

This issue isn't boiled down to women and 'men wearing dresses'. There are many men with the minds of women in the world. Frankly, I believe there are two kinds of women. Biological women and cognitive women- those who were born with the right bodies and those who weren't. It's wrong for us as a society to change what it means to be a woman, to chock it up to the ability to birth or the amount of estrogen one has, but we also can't deny the existence of trans people. Most of the time, they aren't faking it for attention

First forget all the 101 gender crap there are only XX and XY genders. Biological and born that way is the same answer. Feminists try to to tell us we are the same when we know we aren't and if you are at all confused it is because you are listening to a dud false theory.

There are quite profound differences between guys and gals. An alien would probably see us as mostly being the same I expect where we see a lot of differences. You can't tell me that guys and girls put the same effort into dressing or that girl's wardrobes aren't much larger than guys.

I don't think we need to enumerate the differences. You will be femme because you are a girl. Your body moves differently because you are a girl. I can walk with my arms hanging straight down and you can't because your hips are just a bit too broad to allow that.

Our brains are structurally different. We have different hormones coursing through us and tend to respond differently emotionally.

You are XX and therefore a girl and therefore feminine. it is just that simple.

It's really simple. If you are born with two X chromosomes in every gene in every cell of your body, you are female. If you are born with an X and a Y chromosome in every cell of your body, you are male. That's it! You can have all the "gender reassignment" you want. You can have all the hormone injections you want. It doesn't change your genetic inheritance. A "trans woman" cannot conceive, gestate or give birth to a baby! I rest my case. "Gender reassignment surgery" is a fraud and is nothing but mutilation! If you have "gender dysphoria," that is, you're uncomfortable in the gender you were born with, that is a medical or psychological issue and needs treatment. It doesn't mean you carve yourself up!

Clearly there are more than 2 genders because there are also hermaphrodites and XXXX, XXXY, XYYYY, XXXYYYY gender chromosomes. XX and XY aren't the only sexes and genders medically known.

That being said, being fully a woman is the hardest thing. A person who is trans and becomes a man can at least take steady hormones and get a more male experience. Nothing can replicate the roller coaster of hormones that women have to deal with on a daily basis, or periods, ovulating, ovarian cysts, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding. They can never have a fully functioning vagina with a cervix at the end that a baby will batter its way out of. It's complicated. Only a natural born fully female person will have all of this.

That being said, trans women can certainly still have female attributes and a womanly experience. It just won't be the full experience. I don't mind calling them women, as long as we can all agree that it's not entirely the same experience. Women born fully female will also never have the trans woman experience, and men will never have either.

I think it is important to look at the big picture to see how this plays out so my views are...

A person's sex can be one of three:
• A woman has two X chromosomes, a female pelvis and higher female hormone levels than male hormone levels. Woman is a biological state.
• A man has an X and Y chromosome, a male pelvis and higher testosterone hormone levels than female hormone levels. Man is a biological state.
• Intersex has a combination of any of the above and/or may have variations of gender-specific anatomy. Intersex is a biological state, which can also be artificially induced.

A person's gender:
• Does not necessarily reflect their sex, which constitutes gender dysphoria.
• A natural occurrence of intersex means a natural gender dysphoria, which may or may not resolve with a decision and/or medical intervention.
• Gender can change, sex can only go from male/female to intersex.

Thoughts:
• A transwoman or transman is intersex.
• Public toilet use should reflect sex not gender.
• No one has a right to force others to use pronouns that are contrary to their beliefs, and that goes both ways.
• Transwomen have a biological advantage over women and should not compete in the same sports.
• Transmen can have either a biological disadvantage or advantage over men and should not compete in the same sports.
• Masculinity and femininity are cultural constructs.
• Individuals should disclose their sex to their intended partners before sex if they are known they are intersex or trans in the same way HIV positive persons must disclose their status to sexual partners before sex so that people can make an informed decision.
• I think everyone is varying degrees of bisexual from platonic affection with one sex to full sexual exploration.
• Sexuality can be determined based on one or both categories of sex and gender.

When I was six years old, I hated girls. Girls had "girl" germs, and that was way worse than Covid. But I couldn't stop looking at them. And they kind of smelled nice. that "most" is not biologist. biology ALWAYS split animals fish plants between male and female, based on the egg part growing into a fruit. so the one born with body structure for pregnancy is "authentic female" as certain as a tomato. and any other opinion is free speech and also fascist for denying science.

I would say it's a state of one's mind.

I can fix a computer, microwave oven or a shower. Not a problem. In my closet, you will find mostly ripped jeans, tactical trousers and boots, manga/anime themed t-shirts. I also like flowers, crocheting and writing.

I feel like 100% woman.

I have a feeling men who were with me also felt me that way, so I would say... my clothes, work, and interests aren't something that defines my gender, but me, as me.

I'd say on the most basic level, you must be a biological woman, XX chromosomes and within the range of the female morphology.

Outside of that, it loses its meaning. I can accept serious transwomen (i. e that look like a women in some appreciable way and make an effort other than just saying "I'm a woman") as something like "honorary women" but they're still men. The words "man" and "woman" are based on sex, not on the modern euphemism of gender.

All that being said, even though I believe that in general there is a binary (male/female) society is ridiculously restrictive on what is acceptable for both. Men and women are more similar than we are different, and much more overlap in behavior or preferences should be expected, and perhaps exploring that should be not so judged.

How one defines a man or women is complicated. What a man or women is tends to be is more idealised and personalised than simply being male or female. This is why a lot of people have antithetical ideas as to what a 'real man' is. Some would argue that aggression and being authoritative looking out for your own interests and never putting your problems on anyone else make you a man, others would argue being open appreciative emotionally available and willing to compromise makes a man, others may believe in enlightenment values that rationality education and wit make the man. You see how this goes on and on, then introduce cultural or environmental variables. Basically for the most part a good man or women is whatever we need as a society and thus which traits we portray and positive or negative.
