Did anyone on here ever have a problem with a new neighbor from the hood?

I seem to have a neighbor on the block who likes the new neighbor, she is a single mom in her early 30s, but she is from the hood of Englewood. Auburn Gresham in Chicago, IL, we all do, even the nosy neighbors next door, this is a young woman and stereotyping her (she has a tattoo on her forehead), and swears at her dogs to come back inside, her son is 6 years old and nice, the problem is that she takes everything so literal and most of everyone else on the block, ever since she moved on the block, her cousin and friends have been influencing her, I

don't know if that has something to do with her now having "anxiety," because someone has been writing her letters and putting them in her mailbox, they have only been warning her about how the other neighbors act, you could barely talk to this girl, she is only nice when it comes to my mom, but everyone else she is two-faced, she's a two-faced b-word, I won't swear on because my account will be suspended. She liked one of the other letters, thought someone liked her, but I don't know, she and everyone don' need me on the block anymore, they are too mean for me and my other neighbor, how would you handle the situation?

And please be kind and objective as possible with this, I don't mind a certain or different opinion, but I'm not holding back, and I am sure that you are not either, thank you.

Damn, that's a messy situation bro. Seems like this new neighbor ain't making the best impression so far. But at the same time, can't really blame her too much either if others are prejudging just cuz of where she's from.

Few things I'd probably do - try chatting with her one-on-one without others around. See if she's really as attitude as others say. Give her a chance to air out her side. Maybe she ain't as bad in person and feels attacked.

Also wouldn't jump to conclusions on the letters either. Could be someone really do got a thing for her ya know? Or maybe tryna stir up drama. Impossible to tell from outside.

I'd also have a calm word with some other neighbors bout chilling out on the staring/judging. Remind em we all came from somewhere and gotta live together peacefully.

Last thing, watch out for those "friends" and cousin filling her head with junk. Could def be making the whole thing worse.

At the end of day though, ain't much you can control about others. As long as her kid ain't bugging no one, might be best to just let things play out on their own. Stay out the drama ya know?

In the U. S. it is a federal crime to interfere with the U. S. mail system, and this includes placing items in a mailbox that are not properly addressed or if you are not a postal worker, so if you feel like educating people, there's that.

I had a lot of neighbors from the hood when I lived in the hood. Not so much anymore.
