There are 193 countries in this world, so why is America expected to solve all the problems and most certainly pay for all the problems of the world?

We have around 750 military bases in at least 80 countries around the world. And the Europeans like to make fun of us because we don’t have universal healthcare.

In 2015, all NATO countries agreed to spend at least 2% of GDP on their militaries. Most do not even in 2023 with the Russian bear throwing a scare into Europe.

Issues are localized - for instance, in the middle east, expats around me were more worried about getting back safety and putting food on the table. Its hard to worry about the future / other worldly problems when you have major issues in the present.

I mostly talking about the people on this site that have nothing but bad things to say about us Americans. How many posts on this site have you seen trashing Germany? If a question about German politics came up on this site I would just keep walking past it. Because it’s none of my business. I wish the Germans could do the same thing about American politics.
What interests would that be? And are those interests more important than spending money at home on our own security? How can a country is rich as America have a homeless problem? Why is our border wide open? Why do we have a drug epidemic?
