When I'm sleep deprived I become paranoid. My brain will start amplifying potential threats and freaking me out more and more.

For example, did I lock the front door so a murderer doesn't get me? Can people see in my window? Is anyone watching me? Will something sneak out of my closet at night and get me? Is the stove off, do I smell gas, is the helicopter flying over the valley every night up to no good?

It will actually make me sleep even less causing a cycle of me becoming manic and more and more paranoid until I finally catch up on sleep.

"You aren't paranoid if they are genuinely after you", those who follow critical news sources will always be more paranoid I think since we have higher distrust for international organizations and the government. But at the same time its not like I am paranoid in my daily life. So I wouldn't consider myself paranoid, but others may see me that way based on government distrust.

Abusive? No. Paranoid? Some people have suggested that. But what those people mean is they just know they can't get over on me because I see them coming a mile away. So is it me? Or is it actually just THEM. Those who've suggested I'm paranoid are a small minority of the people I know. You always have to ask yourself the motivations why people say and do the things they do. That'll give you your clearest answer.
