I mean I lived there for a while. But the only reason was for dream. But the dream didn’t happen. If I see the crime documentary or realty tv show cops, it’s just unbelievable. I mean many Koreans people who owns shops got robbed and they are threatened their life with guns. I mean everything in the us is bubble. I actually tried to be a singer and I met a record label company president and he knows lady gaga. And I was so surprised how ‘shitty’ the industry was. It was nothing like I imagined. I mean I landed in New York City supposed to be fancy and expensive but everywhere was filthy and illegal graphitty all over make me think it’s like a third world somewhere in Africa. If America is the number one country then the law should be in place but it was in chaos. I mean crimes was all over the country even in a small town was not safe. And 42street by the broadway show theatre was filled with porn theater and prostitution was all over. I just didn’t know what to think… hahaha. I landed so I tried to make a living but I simply couldn’t adjust. People I met in the US are overweighted. And they look so old. I just couldn’t help think that there is no future. Only a few things I liked is that local Chinese restaurant and Disney land. Other than that everything is so out of my dream. I mean I don’t want to break the bubble since so many people want to come over but this is the reality I had to face. I try to live with it but that’s about it. There is no dream. There is only a chaos here. So what do you think? Do you still want to come over? Become a criminals? I mean this country turn everyone criminals that’s for sure. I don’t really know what trump is babbling about.
Great perspective, from your limited view, you are right. Your point makes total sense and I wonder... did you have any support and are you possible, more of a traditional values person? There are different "realities" all within a short distance.
NYC and big cities in California are run by Democrats. They are Sh! t holes. Some places like DC have super rich one side of street, and dirt poor on the other.
America... has declined into the "haves" and the haves nots".
There is a "good"... or much better america and I'm sorry you didn't see that or have help to find it.
I live close to Nyc and we live a great life, many do. Others live in pathic squalor. Yes, crime is awful and abusive... that's Democrats and they deny it even exists so they cannot argue. We've decline because our standards and values have declined.
It is not the "Dream country" it used to be, thus MAGA (Make america great again) in concept. It used to be the land of opportunity. It still is. Example. Relative of mine from France found wife in NYC. They live there, it's crappy little place, but he is living so much better than France, he can achieve greater financial success and freedom... still possible.
Quality of food and such, USA is awful. You must navigate around the filth and junk to find what is good. We have the whole world in NYC. Yes, americans diets are pathetic unless they are disciplined. Have to be very careful how/where your kids are educated and what exposed to.
In short, you are right and wrong. There may be better places... I don't know. My eyes are open. There are other areas like Nashville for music that be better than NYC. Ohio be better for IT, parts of it.
We are visiting Korea this year I hope and I hope to get new perspective. I do know much of the USA is outdated relative to at least China and Japan. We are a fading nation, we don't know it.
lmk if you have questions.

Judging by this site so many Americans think working 80 hours a week and having 14 days annual leave each year is normal. Fuck that noise man. I'm sure America is a good country to live in if you're rich. How you amass that money and the lengths you have to go to is another question. 40% of Americans are obese. Indeed, dystopian.
Obviously it has the highest crime rate, why would anyone think America is the dream? Especially NY all big cities are shit holes you can't expect much from them because there is so many people. You also have to make your dreams come true, it takes luck, timing, hard work and drive.
I agree. Although I like to visit certain cities once in a while I'm well aware is not a safe country.

If you expect to find dreams come true, you will be disappointed wherever you go.
They call it the American dream because you have to be asleep. I would rather be where I am now despite it being closer to the russian/Ukrainian conflict because I can see first hand how damn retarded most Americans are. My wife and I have spent a considerable amount of time and money helping Ukrainian refugees. Reality is many countries are worse than America many are better as well.
I was all set to move a business to the US since I was exporting there and I had another business with locations in two states. I don't think I would now because there are better opportunities elsewhere. There seems to be pockets that might make it a dream country but many states are kinda nutty to be honest
„It‘s called the American dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it!“
- George CarlinIt's definitely not a dream country. It's a hellhole.
i don’t know WHO IN GODS NAME declared that this is the “best country in the world” IT ISN’T and i could go on for hours about this but i really would rather not.
The country is in a slump right now. I still believe that our best days are ahead of us. We have had a leadership crisis over the last 3 years. Law and order was not a priority.
It has been and will be again of Trump is re-elected. It is in a state of decline now from enemies, foreign and domestic.
NYC has been a shitehole for decades. If you thought that place was representative of the U. S. you're horribly naive for a 40 year old.

I made my dreams come true in here... some of them, anyway
You are not guaranteed a "dream" anywhere, you have to make it happen.
Yeah, it's been destroyed by the leftist scum along with rinos. But it was allowed to happen because of the freedom it once held in high regard.
You saw the two coasts which are idiotic extremes. New York and LA are NOT America.
Personally for me it is not.
I don’t think anywhere is a dream country, there’s no such thing as paradise
I’m glad you’re gone. I hate foreigners. 😄👍
