U. S. ADA investigated Lance Armstrong (among others, finding hundreds of cheaters from almost every modern country). laboratory tests indicated performance-enhancing substances.

The International Cycling Union =ICU supported the USADA's decision and officially stripped Armstrong of his seven Tour de France victories.

The Cycling union also banned Armstrong from the sport for life. ICU president Pat McQuaid said in a statement that "Lance Armstrong has no place in cycling."

1, do athletes deserve a second chance? after caught, a chance to participate next time?

2, or not, because only violent criminals who were released early for good behavior or who completed jail time deserve second chances? absurdly wrong that violent crime like hit, gets second chance but smaller crime no second chance. so both same yes chance? or both same no chance? or?

3, or the opposite of now, based on severity, athletes should not be banned for life, due to smaller crime, all athletes deserve second chances, but violent criminals found guilty don't deserve a second chance due to severity, violent crime more severe?
