What do you think about the fact Joe Biden has announced he's not seeking re-election?

In my opinion, I think it's bizarre he waited this long to make this announcement. Why would he wait until the primary season is essentially over?

Also, does this mean the Democratic National Convention (DNC) will have to literally pick a candidate without anyone's input?

I think he knew all along he was not going to seek reelection but decided to postpone his announcement to shield his replacement candidate from pre-election criticism and lawsuits that would hinder their chances of winning the election.
