I have a crush on my roommate what should I do?

I'm 21, I just moved in with a guy who is 28. We get along great the only problem is I'm starting to develop feelings for him. I don't know if they are mutual and he has a long distance girlfriend. I'm afraid telling him will make things awkward. What should I do?

I would refrain from expressing these feelings. 1st) he has a girlfriend 2nd) he's your roommate. You will for sure make things incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for him and will possibly be out a roommate. I've heard of stories of roommates hooking up and they NEVER end well. And you need to respect the fact that he already has someone in his life, doesn't matter if they're long distance but their relationship must be pretty solid if she trusts him enough to have a female roommate. I think you just need to put your feelings aside on this one or your just going to create a big drama fest for everyone. The feelings will pass eventually if you just ignore them.

Dont tell him. Most likely your crush is just a phase, after all he's ready to be in his 30's and your not THAT old. If he picks up on the fact that you have feelings for him, and asks if you do, then I would tell him.

You said yourself, a crush. Crushes are normal and they pass. If you know he has a girlfriend, and you act on your crush, you could end up breaking a relationship or being "the other person". And like someone else here said, you could be out a roommate. There must be other available men in your area that you find attractive.
