I believe some first nations people especially the young enjoy have this team named after there people, it's mostly just white knights that have the problem.
I don't think it's offensive unless it's known to be a racial slur or a nickname they find derogatory. If people are offended by it, maybe they can bring it up to them.

Why, not offensive at all. It's no more offensive than having a team named the Boston Black Bucks or the Hackensack Hottentots--oh, wait...
The problem is that "red skins" is a racial slur. It would be like having the "negro team" or the "yellow skin team".

I think it is a little especially if they don’t like it
No, I think the opposite. I think it's a nice hommage to Native American culture and it helps to keep this culture alive.
No not at all. People are way to easily offended anymore. I think it’s a positive, teams use mascots to promote support and unity.
No not offensive.. too many sensitive people out there take things up the ass 🙄
Is there anything that is NOT offensive today? I mean seriously, taking offense has become the national American fucking pastime.
I think it's a tempest in a teapot. EVERYTHING offends someone.
Most Native American citizens don't see it as offensive.
I mean imagine if a team name was: The N-word.
People would be outraged wouldn’t they?
I don’t see how naming a team the Redskin is any different.
first im half Cherokee, half osage, my personal thoughts are that's making much ado about nothing.
I would say yes. Cause they don't think that they should use mascots named after Native American sports teams.
I think they normally choose something they find badass or cool for their mascots so it is intended as a compliment
Nothing is objectively offensive. Everyone takes offense to different things.
No more or less offensive than teams using images of Vikings, cowboys, Mariners etc
Everything is offensive if you want it to be offensive. I don't find it offensive tough.
Nah if i decided to use the name of old greek warriors i. Dont see that as disrespectful
People who are easily offended should be just be beaten, then publicly executed.
You first, since you're so offended that they're offended.
@HereIbe actually no.
