What is your opinion on people who post these kind of tacky photos on social media?

There is a former male classmate from high school, who made a quick visit to our country with his wife, to visit some old friends and former classmates from high school as well (I was not invited anywway and many other classmates either to see him, just a special group of classmates did) but I saw the photos on his FB account) . Anyway, this guy lives in the USA and before heading home he also stopped by to visit more friends in Miami and again he posted photos from those encounters. In one of those Miami photos, one photo caught my attention and it was him, his wife with one family friend and this particular photo for what it looks liked it seems had taken inside the house of this friend. In the photo there were small kids and adults all gathered around a senior citizen laying in bed. It seems the man is ill cause he is laying in bed, so the photo was taken like that, him in bed just lifted his back a little and smiile for the photo. He was covered with sheets of course, he was not dressed, but it seemed the guy is ill. I doubt the guy had just woken up and he was caught by surprise in that position.

Back to my question why people has to do this viral on social media sites, to post photos of an ill person either at the hospital or anywhere. What is the message they want to give by posting photos like that? I also had seen photos on social media when a person for example is having soem health treatment at the hospital and thtey take photos of thmelseves right in the hospital bed with maybe some IV on their arm or in a hospital gown, or things like that or photos with the scars of soem treatment as well. That is tacky tacky and bad taste and no sensitivity in my personal opinion.

Why they want to draw attention to situations that are serious and nothing to laugh atjust to draw more attention to them with LIKES and validate popularity? I dont know if some do to

send that even in this bad situation they are keeping their spirits up, there is a possibility but even so. Do you really need to post photos on social media for strangers to see or the public when u are in a bad situation?
