Do you honestly think there's anything wrong with someone who mainly likes indoor activities more that outdoors?

As long as I get enough exercise and sun once in awhile. i dont see why its so wrong preferring to play video games and indulge in other activities that are mainly indoors.

My other question brought up a few people that seem to think its wrong to be like this.

What would be YOUR first reaction if you saw rooms like these in person?

Yeah, I've noticed that you were criticized for asking that question. People always seem to pick on those who prefer to stay indoors. It happens the same with me. My sisters say that I don't have friends and that I'm not enjoying life. One of them is always saying that I need a boyfriend.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I would say it depends. As long as you get your vitamin D, exercise, eat healthy foods, drink enough water and sleep 8 hours I see nothing wrong with wanting to stay indoors.
However, if you don't do any of these things then you have a problem.

I think balanced is how it should be.

I can flip flop between being indoors for a week, with maybe a soak in hot tub outside.

then another week where I am outside almost 24/7.

Over lockdown I was pretty much going for a very early morning run, then home until the next day.

Also where I was living near Birmingham, teens were putting their lives at risk going outside at times.

I've worked with guys that all they do is play soccer or another sport every evening.

that is their social life, they don’t really go to the pub either,

people are overly judgmental.

if we enjoy life, can live a balanced life and do not harm others, then it really does not matter.

I wouldn't say it's not healthy but there are so many things that this worild and life has to offer.
This isn't a trail run and we only got one shot at it.
I wouldn't want to be sitting dribbling in my chair at 80 wishing I'd done something more with my life. Be a participant rather than a spectator.

Lol, I used to game a lot but I found that I wanted to spend more time in the real world rather than in a virtual world. I did meet some great people through online gaming back in my 20s and we are good friends still to this day and I have visited them in the US and around the UK multiple times over the years.

Hey there's indoor swimming indoor bowling indoor tennis or gyms... Of course we need some sunlight once in a while...
Now me personally Im a good even mix... At least during the warmer seasons I love my outdoor pool! Now Wet and cold seasons I am definitely an indoor gal!

Pretty normal to me
I am a gamer/gardener/mini farmer so on my off days am at home. Dear lord! Clubbing, no thanks. Waste of money, over priced everything and stress. I go to a gym instead. One day am gonna get cats too 😥

It’s not “wrong” to prefer them, it’s just “wrong” in the sense it’s bad for you if you’re not getting at least 30-40 minutes of outdoor exercise in green space because that’s so effective at preventing depression and improving you’re health.


So the indoor games aren’t a problem unless they’re preventing your minimum outdoor activities.

the wrong would be if someone who wants to be with other people and enjoy company... decided to isolate itself inside four walls

if someone wants to just spend time indoors or outdoors, with others or mostly alone and that's what they do well, that's their lives and choices to make

the wrong is when we do things we do not want to do, or when we miss out on the things we really want to do

I agree with you. I think it's okay to prefer indoor activities as long as you're exercising at least a little bit (and I don't mean being really active, like just going for a walk is fine) and getting some sunlight
