Why did he stop texting?

I have a crush on this guy since last year and he finally texted me 2 weeks ago. We basically converse everyday. He’s always late texting me back because he really likes video games. We had classes together etc etc. i asked if he wanted to hang out because he seemed cool he was totally down and he asked me what I wanted to do. I told him bowling and he’s down with it. Then the conversation ends after that. I don't know what else to talk about so I’m waiting for him to start a conversation. I’m slowly losing feelings and I feel like I’m being played because he won’t start a conversation now. Why’s this?

Okay... makes sense. At the risk of over simplifying this: why not message him with a specific day/time/place to meet? I suggest this for a couple reasons: he may be waiting for you to initiate. And, it'll get you two together so you can connect and maybe figure out why he doesn't start conversations. OR he won't respond and that'll give you an additional answer.

I just messaged him today I didn’t put “hello.” I just asked him if Friday was fine after 2 days and he didn’t respond but he viewed my story.

Oh I absolutely wouldn't worry at this point. Especially if he plays online; 4 hours online feels like 30 minutes offline. Also, 2 weeks isn't really enough time to set a pattern in place. It wouldn't hurt to start a new conversation with him, totally unrelated to a previous one, if only to give a new notification and a potential restart of the conversation.

Maybe I’ve done some sort of miscommunication. When he responded with “great, I haven’t been bowling in forever lol.” I just liked the comment. Maybe I should’ve said something. Do you think he misinterpreted it?

Perhaps; I personally don't acknowledge "reacting" as a reply, considering it's minimum effort. It's basically just a 'read receipt'. I don't think it was a misinterpretation, but your response didn't communicate much in the way of continuing the conversation. You only acknowledged what he said. But still, I doubt he sees it as a strike against you, so unless you have more to say on the matter, I'd just start a new topic of conversation.

I also want to make him comfortable I asked if he wants to hang out he says yes. Then he asks what days and what do I want to do. I just don’t want to make this all about me.

You haven't made any demands, right? You're showing interest, and so is he. You both will have to work together to find what works best for you, with scheduling and communication and everything. Give a little, get a little, and don't worry too much either way.
