Guys, When he's just got out of a long term relationship?

hello!

This guy that liked me for a while asked me out, we went on three dates, then it was a bit lack lustre in communication. He didn't initiate a fourth date although on the third said that he wanted to take me on a day date etc

Before i went on holiday I wanted to tie up lose ends, and just replied to him (he started texting with one word texts like, hellloooooo) I replied with - I've had a nice time with u but we are on different pages.. He replied with, yeah that was my fault.. Can I ask what page you are on? I replied with, I just like to know where I am with someone.. he replies saying I'll be honest, I have just got out of a relationshp (long term) and have been playing it cool as I dont want to rush anything so slowed it down, thinks I'm beautiful and funny and wants to take me out after my holiday.

He text yesterday to ask if I had a good holiday and if I wanted to do something soon.. I said that would be nice.. He picked the restaurant but no day/ time. I'm v confused! Is this his taking it slow? Or am I being strung along? Thanks!!! Xxx
