No I don't fart in front of my family members but I do fart when I am sitting physically close to girls at my university. I also had this woman sitting on the seat right next to me on the train, the seats are in pairs so she was close to me and I let a fart out just loud enough for her to hear I was farting very close to her. She heard I was doing a fart right close to her.
I fart around my family, and I also fart when I'm with the guys (we all openly fart). I don't fart when there are girls around (obviously), if I have to then I excuse myself and go somewhere else to do the deed.
I'm the kind of person that can't do that in front of anyone, lol :) I don't do it in front of my family members because I think it should be done in private. I don't know why I'm weird about things like that but I just can't imagine how I'd react if it happened to me, lol :P Like I'd die of embarrassment or something (especially around someone of the opposite sex)
I only fart around my mum, dad, brother (I fart on him if he's annoying), grandma, granddad and best friend that I know since she was born.
Farts are a human thing to do that you can't really stop so I don't see the problem if you are with people that have changed your diapers and stuff.
Yes, it's normal in my family to fart around each other, my mom even goes to the toilet with the door open. We have lived with each other for forever so we have seen each other at our ugliest.

Farting in front of your family shows how close you are to them... I've farted in front of my brother and mom plenty of times. We have all done it before and we hate when the other person does it but when you live with family it just happens.. its funny and disgusting.
My family and closest friends are the only people I will fart infront of. They are the people that I don't have to worry about impressing or scaring off.
I'm the same as your friend. The times I have farted when I was near my family I apologized. I hate doing it and I hate it even more when others do it. I don't enjoy the smell of ass...

I find it natural, yes. It's the same around my friends if they are really close to me... but knowing them they would tell everyone i know about it so i don't xD
I absolutely abuse the noses of my family members. One of my lifes greatest accomplishments was bringing my wife to tears because my fart smelt so bad.
No I would get in trouble and I think it's improper still but my cousin and grandma have farting/burping contests and yes my cousin is female lol
Oh yeah we let it rip loudly and proudly, the way it works in my family is that the louder the fart the more respected you are, theirs no shame and you earn respect and a good laugh.

I mean, I used to poo myself in front of all of them (as a baby not an adult).
Used to vomit. Used to be changed. Used to be washed. Etc etc.
On occasions like Christmas there is a higher level of acceptance but it's generallly not a good practice. Sometimes it's neccessary to let one out and test the water but if the gas is bad then best this behaviour should cease.

I fart around my family only never my friends lol, when I’m alone I do it a lot more but mostly in front of family, my sisters, mom & Dad all burp and fart around one another
