It's only because they don't want their perfect child to deform themselves in the name of society and fitting in. Be honest, you wouldn't be interested in stretching your ears if it wasn't all the rage right now, you'd probably think it'd be outrageous. They feel you're just doing it to be accepted by your peers or to appear cool, not because that's actually what YOU want.
Also, stretched ears usually don't go back to entire normality so she's thinking of the long term affects when you're not a teen and you want to go for a job, but you have saggy ear lobes, it's not a good impression and you may regret your decision. You can do it when you're 18, when you're legally an adult but right now, your parents are doing what's best for you. You'll realise this when you're older and you'll probably thank them because you may find when you are an adult, that stretched ears are not the in thing and you don't like the idea any more. Listen to your parents.

Haha good times...😝
I was just like you. I wanted facial piercings when I was 15 and my parents forbid me from getting them. They look very unprofessional and ridiculous. You couldn't tell me anything, I wanted them so bad but I'm so happy that I didn't get them. They look awful and stretching your ears can cause irreversible damage to your earlobes that require you to need surgery later in life.
Quick story:
I knew a guy who got his ears stretched, got a terrible infection from the plugs that he used and had to get the bottom half of his earlobes removed. He now looks slightly disfigured. Attractive guy but his ears look pretty gross now. If that story doesn't change your mind I don't know what will.
Im currently a size 0 going to 00. Honestly, a zero isn't bad at all. At first I was expecting my hole to be huge. But, I was wrong. I actually take my gauges out all the time and the hole looks normal. People don't even notice my ears are stretched unless I wear my tunnels, which I never really do. by the way how old are you? Because if you're 18, your mom can't stop you from stretching them.
Your parents have the mentality of "you can do that when you're not living under my roof anymore".
In short, your parents feel there are no long-term pros to getting your ears stretch-pierced, and they are not going to assist you in any way, to do something they don't disagree with, while living under their roof.
Trust me, I knew people who have extremely conservative parents, then ended up going off to college and got the piercings and tattoos they wanted, as well as wearing whatever clothing style they chose.

In essence, just wait until you are out of your parents' house. Then they can't tell you "no while u live under my roof", etc.
I think you should listen to your parents. They have a lot more life experience than you do and they have your best interests at heart. You might think that mutilating part of your body like this is a cool thing to do, but your parents realize that when you're 30 you probably will wish you hadn't done it.

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, but if it's anything like what people do in order to put those large circular things in their ears, it looks bizarre. If it's a permanent or even long-term change, I would advise against doing it.
The best way to do it is to grow old enough to become self-supporting, which will entail going out into the world and seeing people with long-term body changes in society. I suggest against it, though. There are way better ways to look attractive and interesting.Omg. Yout totally not 18. There's no way !! This is just immature. You will be so embarrassed later you should thank your parents for not letting you.
You sound like your 14 or younger.
How many successful people out there do you see with this stupid shit going on? Ears stretched is for some tribesmen in the middle of the jungle living off dirt and bugs. Not even part of the humon race. Your sick if u do this. It's stupid and only brainless no lifers do this. If you have no plans going anywhere in life go for it !! Grow up first thoI hate this look, personally. And what are you going to do when you need to take them out for work later on in life and your ears need plastic surgery to correct them, even then, leaving you with scarred lobes? No one ever thinks of this. Ten years ago it was all about nose, lip, and eyebrow rings, which we are now seeing do not heal properly once taking them out, leaving a dumb scar on people who thought they knew it all years ago.
Besides, too many people have stretched lobes, why do you want to be just like others? Get a dorsal fin implanted on your back, or have some tusks veneered on to your teeth. That would make you truly unique. Why would you want to in the first place, Gravity does that for you in a couple of years! I think whatever your asking is the most weirdest thing I have ever heard, it is a big deal especially when you try to get hired at prestigious places - one look at you and sorry your not what we are lookin for! It is your body, your right but you really have to think about the future and no it depends on the organism of the person for it to go back to its natural state
Just do it... You don't need their approval. They won't even notice until it is too late. But also, if you REALLY want to do it, you can wait a few years... You will have your ears forever.
If you go to 0g, you're not going to shrink down to a visually normal piercing. Would require plastic surgery almost certainly.
I'm just here to say that this trend is really truly ugly. you'd regret that so bad when ur like 30.
Hey
YOU DO YOU.
Parents can be incredibly frustrating and seem like they don’t understand at all but they do. They just see things differently to you. My dad actually has stretches but even he says “wait till your over 16”. I think they just think your too young and immature - the best way to convince them is to prove them wrong and that you ARE responsible and you DO understand. Create a mini presentation about WHY you should get them and state CLEAR FACTS about stretches. I know you said that you don’t even know anyone with stretches but maybe try to get in touch with someone who DOES and allow your parents to have a conversation with them.
I’m actually not that sure what to do but I think that this may work :)
GOOD LUCKWait till you are of legal age, and then you can do whatever you want. There is a reason parents make decisions for their children. They may error on the side of being too strict but in the end they are only doing what they think is best for you and you should be glad that your mother cares about you
If you really want them and your mom is against them that much, you may just have to wait. If she would kick you out of the house, then its not really worth it. I understand wanting to do something that much but she is still your mother and you have to respect her.
My personal opinion: I don't like those. I have tats, had piercings etc but I never found the appeal of ear stretching. I don't think it looks sexy (more like African tribe) and when you remove it, your ears are overtly screwed. It's like getting a tattoo on your head, just doesn't do it for me. But.., you can do what I did when I got my first tat... forged a permission letter from my mom. That was back in the day though.
i1127.photobucket.com/.../...om-add-text%201_2.gif Don't do it and for a change I say listen to your parents because I'm sure you're going to regret this move... if ya made it LOL
How old are you? My mom was very reluctant on letting me get mine done, but for my 16th birthday she finally caved and let me. I paid for them, and did them myself.. It was painful but totally worth it. Honestly they are super cute, and my mom eventually warmed up to them and she actually really likes them now. So, just give her some time or maybe just buy the really small ones.. Cuz you don't need permission at hot topic.. Lol cuz once you have them in there, what is she gonna say? Lol
As some others have already said, you might regret this decision in the future. In my opinion, I think it looks gross and do you think others would want to hire someone that has stretched ears? I wouldn't. Anyways, do what makes you happy but I would wait and think about it for a while longer.
Your parents understand that the look you find cool is generally seen as a trashy skid ball thing to do, and although you think it's cool at the moment, they are able to understand how it will affect you in the future and know that unless you take an art degree and work at a barista, you want to stay away from the trashy hipster nonsense.
Ugh, please don't do that to yourself. It's grotesque and otherwise unbecoming.
Who cares though? Why does ear stretching matter? Guys don't even notice or care about ear piercings and ear stretching. its seems like a painful waste of time.
Just don't, be natural, be yourself. Stretching your ear isn't going to make you cool, it'll alienate you from everyone.
Girls with stretched ears... (Shivers... then pukes)
I would think you need to consider things before you get this done
