My country is France we doesn't care about degree for ours it mean nothing. You just should prove at your boss you have better idea / think quickly, etc...
What your talking about is skills. What I am talking about is intelligence. They are two synonyms with compatible weighing but different. Skills is good in a workplace. It's professional. Intelligence that I am talkin g about is good at a research university. It's academic. She has done research at Harvard, and no offence Harvard 10x better then the best university in France.

Having a degree doesn't make you smart. Everyone can have a degree with money you know... Plus degree is only about knowledge, he doesn't mean you can really use all your knowledge outside a piece of paper

If I had a degree from France I wouldn't call myself intelligent. I wouldn't expect people to. If someone got a degree from Harvard then they are smart. The worlds best get into that university. Research about the uni.
France doesn't have much special unis. All degree graduates are pretty much the same level. I've been to France, I am an engineer. French engineers are not valued as highly as engineers from Germany U. K. Or Switzerland.

Please do research. Before talking about Harvard. The likes of Harvard, Cambridge MIT, Oxford is not about money, it's intelligence. I am thinking of going to one that lot, and it's not a question of money. No money can get me into those unis. Don't generalise from what you have seen from France
they have the best uni for medical things but for all the other stuff you have to go in expensive ecole like HEC.
We don't really value degree in France really.
