My guy friend jokingly asked me on a date 2 times already. I have a crush on him but I don't know what he feels towards me. The first time I agreed and we laughed it off and he laughed and said just kidding...the second time was when he said it through text..

It is hard enough to risk rejection as it is. Why would I risk rejection when I don't need to? He may just be shy and thought that your laughing meant you didn't take it seriously. So in order to save avoid embarrassment pretended he was joking. Maybe that is why he did it through text this time.
