Why do good girls get taken for granted?

why do guys get so use to good girls being good to them and start taken then for granted

I would hope to not do that. I've finally gotten a good woman in my life (friend), and I try to make it clear that I appreciate her.

I'm a good guy that gets taken advantage of (not in that way), from time to time. I don't know if this is why I don't want to do it to others, or if I'd just have tried doing it anyway. Especially when it's a bit rare in my life to see someone who really does seem to care. I try to make sure I'm good to my real friends.

I think perhaps that there are a lot of crummy people or on the flip side, people who have been badly hurt and do it to others for "revenge." Neither of which is right or fair, but part of me can understand it sort of from an intellectual point of view.

I'm a good guy and it seems like so many people take unfair advantage of my kindness. Makes me want to at times go the "unfair" route (unfair to the great customers I've had), or it makes me want to charge 3 times what I am now, and draft a 4 page contract just to avoid getting so many issues like this again.

You can be good all you want, but once in a while you have to be 'tough love' and get mean with the guy...just so he remembers you're NOT his mom!

am not letting no guys step all over me no more I was kinda naive and I took a lot but of sh*t but I rather be alone that put up with some that don't appreciate you and is never there for you but when they need something there there for their own needs,and yeah when they see you looking good and you moved on with your life now they want to come back,but am smarter now .

Why did you ask "good girls" and not "good people". Do you find it completely okay for good guys to be taken for granted but not girls?

I think in general good people are taken for granted, male or female.

Once you know how a person is, you get comfortable and make less of an effort because no matter what they'll still be the nice, caring person you know them to be.
