u I like a firm handshake but not one that is so tight it feels like my hand is being crushed. The worst handshakes are the weak and wimpy ones, and I find it's always men who shake my hand like this, like I am made of glass or something.
My dad always told me to use a firm handshake and only shake a few times, then let go.
Nothing is worse than the shake that cuts off at the finger base. This is usually the one given by smug women but I've met a man or two that does this with every women because they are afraid women couldn't stand the death grip.
The clasp shouldn't change just give a good medium squeeze and move on.

I was always taught to use a firm grip when shaking hands, so I'd prefer it if a man shook my hand properly. Not crushing my hand, obviously, but not treating me like I might break either.
it matters. I like it when a guy gives a strong grip hand shake, if not its kind of a turn off. Sorry.
Not too strong, but it's nice feeling a bit of pressure.
