He texts me too much, am I overreacting?

I know everyone is different but this is the first time a guy writes to me this much when we start dating. I started dating him about a week ago and during the last couple of days he's been texting and sending me a lot of snaps. Not casual snaps but they're always about me, he keeps asking about me all the time and he wants to see me like all the time. Same goes for his texting. Maybe this is what it's like when someone really likes you or.. but I feel like it's a little too much or am I overreacting? What if he's obsessed with me?

You're not overreacting. I'd be overwhelmed too. It really annoys me when someone wants to talk 24/7. Maybe you could tell him that he could text you a little less? Hopefully he doesn't get offended. He really shouldn't.
And, who knows, maybe he is obsessed with you but maybe even he himself doesn't realize it. I've seen relationships where the guy is completely obsessed with a girl, it's crazy.

I don't think he's obsessed with you, that's just how he acts when he likes someone. Some people are just like that. If you don't like it and feel like you need your space (and you'd be totally right) I guess you're not made for each other. You can tell him about it, but I don't think it would change a lot and if it does it will kind of hurt him to keep himself from being how he feels like being.

no u aren't overreacting at all the same thing happened to me he could be obsessed but just tell him it's kinda too much for u because it makes u uncomfortable and to tone it down a bit and if he really likes u he will but if not then he definitely is obsessed

Most likely, he is a very needy guy, not emotionally mature, and this will present problems in any relationship that may develop with him. You can try establishing some limits with him but that may simply create more problems.

Guys can be over bearing and its annoying as fuck. Girls can too but when guys do it.. I don't know. Just really be weird to me. And the way he texts and how he suffocates you.. It won't stop in person also.

Be careful... Guys like that are usually very possessive, obsessive and jealous in a relationship. Is this guy lonely? Does he have kids? Is he stuck at home all the time?
