Guys: if a girl texts you everyday, does that annoy you or make her seems desperate?

this guy gave me his cell number. He texts back sometimes, I always text him first, frequently and I have sent up to 4 texts without a response. Is he ignoring me because he doesn't want to seem eager? Does he think I'm annoying? Or does he think I'm desperate/ needy? He gave me his number and he said he did because he thinks I'm interesting. Why don't guys text girls first!

I have learned it depends how you come across. If you always go "Hey" and ask "whats up?" and "what are you doing?" and that's about it. Then that can get really annoying. Or you talk about how much you like him that can too come off as desperate or needy. But if you do message him everyday and tell him something funny that happened in your day or send him a link to something funny I don't see that as desperate or needy or being too aggressive. Its all how you do it. I mean I know to me I love a girl who texts me everyday, when its not just "Hey" "what's up?" "What are you doing?" and "your hot!". Those kind of texts all the time turn me off to the person fast.

Girls usually like to talk a lot more than guys do, while guys usually prefer to do things (not just sex but go DO stuff rather than just talk). It can be good to text a lot, especially if you don't get to see each other a lot, but if you see each other often you gotta realize he doesn't want to spend every second talking to you and needs some space.

If you lay off the frequent text then he just might text more. You have a life and he has one, too. So don't come off as this super aggressive woman. Your young so if he's interested then he will text. Go with his tempo cause if you try to make him go at yours then you will lose him. Trust me.

Listen GO WITH HIS FLOW. If you text him and he takes days or hours to text back then wait awhile before you get back to him. If it takes over a day or two before he responds, you might want to think about letting it go. I have no idea how many times you should text. It just seems he's very busy or not interested. There could be other reasons but those two are the most likely reasons.

I don't mind girls that text now and then.. But when a girl texts and starts a endless conversation that's annoying.. Like I feel bad not texting her back, but if I do ill get a text back instantly.. I've got better things to do in the day than be glued to my phone, if you want to talk. ring him

I fully understand exactly what you mean. I have a friend that does the same thing. She ask questions that are pointless just to ignite a conversation (nearly everyday). So bad to the point I had to block her. Also because I’m not attracted to her makes it even harder for me to see her that way.

A guy can have his phone turned off, since he gave you his number it shows he likes you and so you will not annoy him by doing so. He may also not want to look eager. But you will not look desperate or needy, because texting regularly is also a friendly gesture as well.
