Keeps on "rescheduling" on a date?

I started dating this guy from my school, we went on our first date and it was really amazing. However, the next two times we arranged to meet up he rescheduled. We finally had another two great dates. The only issue was that he didn't even try to kiss or touch me in any way other than a hug hello and goodbye.

Then the next five times in a row he rescheduled. He's in his first equity play and it is a bit of a drive to rehearsal so there is a part of me that was really sympathetic to him canceling because he was tired but after a while I started getting a little pissed and told him (after he rescheduled again for a Monday) that if he was just going to keep on rescheduling, I couldn't keep on doing this.

He got a little defensive at that and told me it was completely unintentional and he kept the Monday date. At the end of the date, he kissed me and told me that he would get me comp tickets to his show when it opened.

That was almost a week ago and he hasn't contacted me in anyway. I know he's really busy, but I feel if he as actually interested he would bother to even shoot me a text once in a while. I don't want to be the one scheduling everything because I don't want to force myself on him but he got me all confused and I don't really know where I stand with him.

I knew a guy like this once, exactly the same thing. I think he's just not ready to commit to a relationship or something that will lead that way. He may like you but he's really busy and he would rather focus on other things instead. I say don't wait for him because he is only going to use you when he is available not when you are.

You have the answer: Let things happen, if the guy likes you he will contact you. Its that simple, sure it might suck waiting but sometimes just letting things flow will put things in place.

Is there a time limit, though. If he contacts me after two weeks or something expecting to go out again should I still do it. I mean, I like him but I don't know him at all and am not emotionally involved. I would almost rather get out now while I'm not hurt then keep on checking my phone every hour for the next couple of weeks...

The time limit is what you decide. In your position I would just move on. Maybe when his schedule stops being so hectic, you could try again, if you still hold just a bit of feelings for him but with a shorter leash, meaning not tolerating as much as you have now. If you see a change then it could turn into something, if not, oh well. You can't waste your time on anybody, so keep yourself open to dating other people in the meantime.
