You could be an insomniac. Also, there's actually a gene or hereditary trait that allows some people to have up to 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night, naturally, who still function well.
uf, i don't trust big pharma. I don't recommend it. Have you ever tried self medicating with cannabis? It would probably help a lot. i know for me it does. I have insomniac episodes from time to time. if i smoke before dinner, i have a feast & knock out cold before 1 a. m. You should try it, but if not, i understand.
Some people can function with around 5-6h sleep a day, but don't think less is sustainable for a longer period than a week.
Some can function on little sleep. Have you always been this way?
I'm currently going through something similar. It's more of restless nights and other symptoms. I figured out why. Try googling "digestive health" or something similar (trying to be "delicate" here as not to gross anyone out). PM me if you want more info on this.
