Girls, what do short periods mean?

My period usually lasts 2-4 days. The first 2 days are the heaviest flow (sorry for such detail!), and then it rapidly declines near the end of the second day. This has been happening for quite a few months now. I'm not sure if it's normal, but I feel completely fine. My mom says that it has to do with my weight loss (which was a few years ago), but I think she just says that because she hates it when I diet. I'm 17, 5'2, and I weigh 103 pounds, if that helps.

Your mom is right, it could have something to do with weight loss, especially if you lost a lot in a short period of time. 3 day periods are natural, that just how some girls are. I do not believe it is anything to be concerned with, however, if you are worried, ask your mom if you can see a doctor about it.

Stress. You are stressed and that will TOTALLY KILL a lady's Monthly AND her ability to have children. Get rid of the stress in your life and you will be back to normal in no time. Why are you so stressed out right now? I'm just curious?
