Ask yourself why do you think you became overweight in the first place?
What is it about your current lifestyle that helped create your obesity?
Are you an emotional eater? If so, maybe you can figure out how to deal with whatever it is
you deal with through other means...like working out!
You have to fight your initial urge to want to just go home after work (or school) and not work out. It's not easy when you're not easily motivated and it's not supposed to be.
Try not to think of the outcome but just the overall process of exercise. I know it gets boring and repetitive...do different exercises to change it up. Also, losing weight just isn't about exercising...you have to change your eating habits, too.
If your finances allow it, get a personal trainer...or try online websites that help suppor people trying to lose weight. How about music? That helps/motivates me.
Think of something you'd like to do once you lost the weight...is there some sport that you wish you could get into but can't because of your weight? Have you ever had aspirations to complete a marathon or even a 10k? Marial Arts?
And, if you have to, think of it as a job and your employer is yourself. You're doing this for you, your health, and longevity. If this does not strike a chord, you'll have to ask yourself why and think about talking to a counselor to help figure that out.
Good Luck.

I went to a local gym, bought a membership and signed up for a trainer. I took out a calendar and selected the days I would go and I went. I still practice this although it's hard when I have to work late and am too exhausted to go. In addition, I started to buy smaller clothes and hung them up in my closet within eye range. Everyday I saw one of those tops or dress, and it made me stick with it to achieve my goal. Sometimes, I feel like it's taking too long but I am progressing. By the fall, I want to be a certain size and weight and I plan on being there.
Best of luck!
The big kicker for me was that I got to a point where my fitness level was determining how I could live my life. What I could and couldn't do was determined by my obesity and lack of energy/stamina. The final straw was when I started riding motorcycles and realize that my weight (over 300 lbs) was preventing me from being able to ride safely. My weight affected the handling of the bikes in such a way where I couldn't ride them properly. Plus they didn't make safety gear in my size.
So I started busting my butt to lose weight. And noticing how my riding continued to improve as I got smaller was the biggest motivation for me. That and going down in clothes sizes.
over 80 lbs down so far, about 40 or so more to go!
Iwould think looking at yourself in the mirror would be motivation enough!

It took you a long time to get fat, so simply ACCEPT THE FACT that it will take a long time to undo the weight. There is no quick fix, and your being upset about that serves NO purpose, it's not going to change the REALITY of what you are dealing with. So stop wasting energy on whining.
Start by cutting 200 calories a day out of your diet. Ask yourself before putting anything in your mouth if you want that MORE than you want to lose weight. There's no magic ticket to get healthy, it's ENTIRELY about consistency and will power. Simply stick to the 200 cals a day and at the end of the week you will have lost a pound. It's really THAT simple, weight loss is pure mathematics. 1,000 calories is a pound of fat, so if you cut 1,000 cals a week you will lose a pound. No amount of you wishing otherwise is going to change math, you can't complain about how 2+2=4, it simply IS WHAT IT IS and complaining only makes you look irrational.
So just cut the cals and stick to it or else resign yourself to being fat. Because making constant whining posts about it is NOT helping your situation, it's only wasting your time.Look at pictures.
