I cut myself with a rusted chain from my bake, the cut is very superficial, almost like a scratch. Is it enough to just apply hydrogen peroxide? please help or direct me to someone who knows, I don't want to go to a doctor unless necessary I don't have insurance

Thank you everyone for your advice, let me follow up though, how long should I wait until I go to the swimming pool? could it get infected there?
What are you worried about, tetanus? C. tetani, is not necessarily on something just because it is rusted. It's just that if you have an old piece of metal that has been laying around in the dirt and water that you find say in a field, it likely has a lot of bacterial on it, and sharp rusty metal can easily puncture your skin. Just clean it up and put some antiseptic cream on it and you should be fine.

Yes, put hydrogen peroxide.
I'd clean it out with peroxide or some other disinfectant.

You ought to get a tetans injection, not expensive, and it's not a good way to die.
Yeah, pretty sure that plus some neosporin should do the trick.
