Read labels and follow serving sizes.
For example, one lean chicken breast has 150 calories. A 1/2 cup of veggies has about 50 calories. Some beans on the side has about 90 calories. That's a healthy meal using only 290 calories. A small serving of sauce could run you about 50-100 calories.
Using this knowledge, build a routine that is based on a caloric deficit (for example, consuming 1800 calories is a 500 calorie deficit for many people). 3500 calories make up a pound. If you have a 500 calorie deficit every single day for a week, that's one pound lost, guaranteed. Over a month, that's 4 pounds of fat lost just by eating right. But if you exercise on a regular basic and make no excuses, you can more than double that 4lbs. I've done it before.
You are very overweight weight and the crux of your weightloss will be that daily caloric deficit. If you eat too much, you won't lose weight. It's that simple. Once you lose about 80 pounds, you can eat a little more (but still healthy) since weight-loss becomes all about fitness and exercise. You'll need more energy as your workouts get more intense.
Forget diet pills. Your habits are fundamentally flawed and diet pills are a false crutch that hide a problem that won't go away until you face it with honesty and fervor.
I hope you see the light and realize how important it is that you check your ego at the door and start listening to people who know what it takes. You can be happy if you really want to.

" I would go to the gym and burn more than I ate and still not lose weight I would somehow still gain some"
That is physically not possible. As in seriously, you'd be breaking the laws of physics.
You have to be doing something wrong. Probably in counting the calories you're taking in.
Um... If you are constantly going to the gym and stuff do you have muscle tone? If you are having so much trouble dieting maybe the kind of fat you have is hard fat. If that's the case try going for a hot yoga class, and becme vegetarian and have meat once a week. Also, for the record, maybe you could try reviewing yourself and see if you are doing anything wrong. Please don't take pills. They aren't long term, high maintenance and expensive.
You should try Herbalife products I went form 165 to 120, this product is kind of expensive but I can tell you that is a product that helped me loose weigh, If you follow the instructions well you'll be loosing about 5-6 pounds a week

There is no easy answer, but cutting carbs to 50 gram per day and not consuming fats will get you there. Carbs metabolize easily and store easily as body fat. Fats actually are less efficient. Corn and potato chips are far more fattening than a marbled steak..
