I go around 5-6 times a week.
The first 30 days are notorious for being "the toughest" but after that it's pretty much engraved into your brain to go and you'll feel really horrible if you don't. I would say take it easy on yourself at first and take time to figure out what goals you want to have for working out. Many people workout for different reasons and what seems like a "waste of time" for one person is the best thing ever for that person working out.
You could easily just make it a point to "check in" and when you get there suddenly you'll feel like at least getting one exercise in which turns into 5+. Just chase the endorphin rush and the rest can easily work itself out.

I go 6 times a week. For me, the motivation is that I feel good about myself if I go there the number of times I set out to. If you have trouble with motivation, one idea is to think of something you really want and set up a bank account for it. Put a certain amount in the bank account each time you work out until you reach enough for the thing you want. Try to set the goal so it will take you a while to reach and give you incentive to work out a lot.
I don't have the money for a membership so I work out at home, typically average around 5 days a week. I get a really good work out in my living room with my work out video, so I'm content with that. It's also a lot easier to be motivated to work out when all you need to do is get up and walk to your living room. Jogging around your neighborhood is a good work out, too. If getting to the gym just makes the task of exercising more daunting (which it def can for some people), invest in other ways to work out. :)
Anyway back when I DID regularly go to the gym, having a work out buddy to go with me helped TONS with motivation to get there.
I don't go often but i work out at home. You don't necessarily have to go to the gym. You can go jogging in your neighborhood or walking. You can go work outs on YouTube at home too. But going to the gym is just for me going. Just get up and go. Set a time and go.

Mostly 3 times a week, though sometimes it ends up being 4 times.
As for motivation, I wouldn't say to do some big complicated routine to get yourself up and into the gym. Set an alarm on your phone or mark your calendar to tell yourself to go. Tell yourself that you MUST go, otherwise you have let yourself down with a goal you set. Think ahead and put yourself into that feeling you get once you're in the gym, and realize that it feels good.
Do this enough, and whatever issue is keeping you from the gym should disappear as going to the gym will become a common feeling for you, and not like it's a drag.Staying healthy should be a goal in everyones life. I work out 5 days a week for a little bit over an hour. I like having big muscles, that is the reason I work out. My motivation is my friend. Having a friend work out with you makes getting up in the morning to go to the gym easier.
Used to be daily for hours on end... I lost motivation and haven't been in two years. Motivation is hard unless you show yourself how you want to look and do it each day. Once you get into it, it's addictive which is why I used to go so much. Now i'm in the phase of lacking motivation.
3-4 times a week for an hour, for me its just seeing my body change that i love. I dont work out for girls, i do it for me and i have a personal goal i want to reach
I hit the gym every other day for about 30-45minutes. It's not so much of motivation as it is just forcing yourself to go.
3-4 times, just stop being a potato and do something.
Currently I work out from home around 3 times a week and run once a week.
