Girls and guys : Have you ever fall in love with a foreigner?
what made you to like them and how did it end up..
Yeah, I have... It happened exactly one year ago, when I was 16 old and he was almost 16 (I am older than him). He was (and still is, lol) Malay (so he's Asian ... and I'm European) and I met him online through a mmorpg I was playing at the time. You'd say it was childish, and I agree. I instantly felt a connection the first time I talked to him, though. The very few words, actually. I mean it. I don't know what it was, but he was so different from the other guys. Okay, I didn't have that many male friends, and I still don't, but there was something about him, really.
We talked for, like, three weeks or so, during which he managed to make my crazy, overly talkative and jokester side, while still keeping my caring side in the spotlight. And no one has ever managed to do it the way he did.
Fast forward, he suddenly left the game without saying anything and I experienced the most powerful heartbreak I ever felt until then. I kept missing him badly for months (from may to July or August ).
One day I logged into the game and I saw he was online. He was the one who approached and I asked him what happened. He said he had been in the hospital because he hurt something during a football match (he is very sporty). Then we never talked because we had school to go to and no free time for online games.
My crush on him is, thankfully, over. I think I'll always cherish him, though. I had (and still have, but now it's better) low self esteem and e indirectly gave me a few life lessons and made me feel great about myself.
Yeah, the first guys I fell in love with were two guys from America, they were brothers, one of them saved my life. I met them a month later and they taught me how to walk again, and the guy that saved my life even went down on his knees for me once to sing a sing for me (Be the one - The Fray) so beautiful :D How it ended -> they both got murdered, the guy that saved my life in December 2008, his brother x-mas 2012. What made me like them, probably their awesome personalities and their eyes, the guy that saved my life had beautiful light blue eyes while his brother had amazing yellow eyes.
At the moment I'm online dating a guy from Australia, never met him in real life though. We Skype sometimes, but we usually talk on Facebook :) Guess I fell in love with his personality (even though he's also good looking ;) )
Yeah haha, his eyes were so perfect <3
dont know that song, I'll listen to it now :)
haha, nice song :D
Haha, yeah well, when I saw the guy after he saved my life I also was like, OMG HIS EYES!!!<3 haha. So yeah, that and the fact that he saved my life already kinda made me fall for him.
Yeah, one day Crash - You me at six randomly started playing on my phone, while I don't even have that song on my phone haha. With the lyrics:
Where you say you're goin'?
Who you goin' with?
Keep me on my toes,
Keep me in the know.
Wait, keep me in your skin,
Keep me in your chest.
I'll wait for it to start,
I'll wait for it to end.
Keep me on my toes,
Keep me in the know.
But when I looked at her,
I thought of only you.
If only there was proof I could use to show it's true.
Made me feel so special haha :D
They seem to be the only guys I like at this point in my life. So much so American men are starting to get on my nerves. I guess because I like to travel and learn experience new things, people, places and cultures. Im a world citizen. On top of that I think I enjoy the distance these relationships give me. First guy was from Canada , the next was a middle eastern guy visa student, after him was a Russian guy, now consistently an Australian. I love adulthood somedays and college just amplifies it with all the study abroad and student exchange it offers.
What lol? He was an abroad student at my school. He was a fairly handsome guy and he just caught me after class one day he told me I was a very beautiful woman. Then I started helping him with his English and he taught me some Arabic.
Probably not that good now since I haven't had anyone to really practice with.
Depends, what do you have to teach?
Oh well I guess I would say or think the same thing if my primary language wasn't English . However I can still appreciate the beauty of another language or accent.
Two catfish from the Philippines. Sure enough, I later found out they were cousins. At least the first one's sister admitted to being a manipulator. Gotta watch out for those types. They especially like to mess with young 30-something American singles, whom they suspect have money and whom they know will do almost anything in the hopes of obtaining a wife.
Thanks, Jbgurl20. Yeah...the gals in the Cagayan de Oro College area in the architecture program like to mess around. I'm half-convinced the program is such a strain on their time and sanity, that messing with men's emotions gives them some kind of outlet for their pent-up stress. Not a healthy coping strategy, but a common one.
The Canadian Hmongs I ran into at Ferris State, if they weren't studying for pre-pharm, were looking for one night stands. I never got one, but I could hear their antics at 3 AM through the walls. Crazy times.
I'm in America and dating someone who isn't the same nationality is common. Why only date girls who are the same nationality as you, when there are so many beautiful women out there? Finding someone with your same values is more important than nationality.

When I was in high school there was this exchange student from Germany. He was GORGEOUS and all of the girls loved him. Somehow we ended up hanging out a lot, and while I wouldn't say I was in love, I would say that I was very very fond of him. He was so sweet, smart, funny, and fun.
He went back to Germany but spent his last night here with me-- we never had sex.
I have not, i'm married to an American man.
But i just thought i would comment to let you know that in English we would say, "Have you ever FALLEN in love with a foreigner?"
Fallen is past tense, so you wanna use that since it happened in the past.
Just thought i'd give a little heads up :)
fall, fell, fallen.
fallen is the past participle which is why it's used with have.
Yes. I am Australian and I fell in love with an English guy from London when I lived there. I had to move back to Australia for university and we decided to give long-distance a go. It's been a year and a half and we're still together, with a few visits to each other in between :) He's moving here in October on a one year working holiday visa to be with me :) If you love someone enough you can overcome any obstacle.
Yes. In terms of culture, ethnicity and religion we were on common grounds. But, she was brought up in a foreign country. I fell in love with her. But she turned out to be a BUSY, SELF-CENTRED, SOPHISTICATED BITCH FULL OF PRIDE...
*Takes deep breath*
Nah, bro... I gave up... I might go for girls just to flirt with them.. But i ain't going to fall in love with a girl again..
Ohhh yeah BIG TIME!!! Haha this kid from Ireland. I liked how we can talk about everything and anything. Plus he's super cute and smart. He is like my twin it's so weird except he's kinda a dork; p we both admitted how we felt but the long distance thing is a bummer but it hasn't stopped me. I won't be able to talk to him until July or see him until August probably I don't know. Til then I'm just waiting :(
At first it was cute! Now it's pathetic, lol. He studies to much so now we won't speak until July which is bs but I'm hooked big time. Plus I'm visiting EUR in Aug. Hope I can see him. We met in a chat room I was bored at work and wasted time there. We then kiked each other blah blah. I think I like him because before I even saw his face I thought he was nice and a little funny nerd...after I saw his face...I started thinking about where to go for our honeymoon. ..SCORE!!
I told him I was attracted to him! He made me spill it out, he knew I was trying to hold it in but I couldn't anymore he got shy and said he was attracted to me too. I told him twice afterwards Iwas interested in him. And I really am. I have the story in my questions. Like I lost sleep over this guy lol
Yeah totally which it shocked me lol. But I won't know if he will stay true to his word and speak to me in July, I feel he will you know. He's not a liar or asshole at all. Usually he kepts his promises but I don't know.
I really hope so because I want to smuggle him back into America lmao I'll drug him up if not;) but July is a long time and one hi here and there won't hurt. I'm just looking like an idiot waiting
Basicallyyyyyyy. =.. ( so I'll ask you your own question. .. have you ever?
Oh ok
You'll be fine, one day you'll travel. :)
Ha awww. Just visit for a time don't move away
I'm in love with an Aussie guy. I am a Filipina. It's crazy how we met. I can say he's the best guy I've ever met. He is cute and very smart, I love talking to him and for him I'm the most beautiful girl in the world. I love how he makes me feel so beautiful.
Thank you very much
Yeah, I am in love with a Serbian guy. He is really awesome, cares about me in a way that nobody else does, and he just knows me so well. Plus he has a nice accent :). We're getting married later this year.
We've known each other for a few years, but only became a couple just over 2 years ago when he moved here to go to school.
We were teenagers and he was visiting my city. I met him when he stopped to ask me how to get somewhere.
First real love.
No i have nothing in common with them at all. Different culture, different land, different looks and different life style
not to mention different language/communication barrier
yeah the differences is too great for me and familiarities/similarities are the common glue of the relationships
I dont tolerate weaknesses well.
I've been the foreigner that someone fell in love with, if that counnts. Twice.
No, in person
Outside of class. Once was through my sister when I was younger. The other time was when I went on student exchange.
First was in Sri Lanka, the second the US
Australia :)
I've fallen for a French/Jewish girl... she's incredible, but very humble.
It's just been this really intense "more-than-friends" relationship for the last 4 years and counting.
We've slept together and all, and we're really intimate at times.
It just can't happen for the moment because of the distance.
I'm not religious...
I'm not atheist either...
When i went to france two years ago on an exchange program I went out with a french guy, i wasn't in love but it was a good experience.
He was the one who was always looking for me and asking me out, and it just happened, he was really romantic, a gentelman, and i must say that the fact that he obiously speaks french gave him extra points, we broke up bcause i was going back to my country.
:)
Yes - japanese (in love) and American (liked)
The first experience ended amicably but during the process it was heart pain
The second experience started off amicably but it ended up heart pain too
I have never fell in love with anyone cause I have never been in a relationship, but I had lots of crushes on foreigners.
I once had a crush with a foreign exchange student from Germany but I was not in love with him. I liked his clothes...
Only once, a very beautiful Iranian girl, she broke my heart by leaving me to go to another country
It was sixth grade.
She had just moved to CA from Russia.
I think it was my first real crush.
