What does it mean if ex boyfriend asks my friends about me?

I and my ex have broken up for 6 months for some reasons. He said he was not good enough for me. After breaking up, he asked me to met him as a friend but I denied. Actually, I still love him and I knew he wouldn’t ask me to come back so I denied, I don’t want to be hurt more. Since then, I haven’t met him anymore.
Recently, some of my friends tell me he always asks them about me, but he doesn’t contact with me at all. I wonder he still has feelings for me or he just curious to know about my life because he haven’t met me for a long time?

It really depends on how often he's asking about you and if its just a casual "oh yeah, how's she doing?" when your name comes up and he's around OR if he is actually initiating the conversation and bringing your name up on his own. If its the first scenario, he's likely being polite and I wouldn't make too much out of it. If its the second situation then odds are he'd be open to seeing you again BUT since you declined his last offer it'll up to you to initiate things.

Sounds like you both still love each other. He has strong feelings for you still. His comment about him not being good enough is a telling one. I have had those same feelings and those feelings believe me will eventually win over in the end. However I believe that with a gentle and understanding aproach combined with a good heart to heart, things can turn around. A have a wise relationship counsellor to guide you through would be best.

You’re right, I still have feelings for him but I’m not sure about him because he never texts me first. I’ve texted him 2 times to ask how he’s living (but no meet) and he always answers me with very long, detail information about his life. But he just asks about me through my friends

Y'all aren't friends at least not yet. He's still got lingering feelings and wants to see if an attraction is still there. Now... if he feels like he wasn't good for you when you broke up, how much do you think that's changed in Him? There is a good possibility he might be the same person he was before, if he can't get out of his rut/ own head. Move on, whenever he feels like better about himself, I'd say let him try again.

It seems like you two like each other so I'm not gonna comment on that. Let him run his course, you can help him out but don't be his crutch whenever things get hard for him. If he returns and asks you directly to get back together then why not. If he can't put that good foot forward then let him ask about you all he wants. I sound harsh but hopefully you two work out.

Okay, I can say that probably he had someone else that he thinks better than you (like more beautiful or something) that why he told you that he is not good enough for you. And wanted to be still a friend to have chance to get you back if he won't get this another girl which probably he couldn't or they just broke up and now he is regretful a d trying to know if you're alone etc.
