I am already married but if you are afraid of not getting what you desire (marriage and kids) than you need to put your foot down and leave if there is no desire for the same thing from him.
Never give in. Stand your ground. If he doesn't want to get married that is his problem not yours. You know what you want why should you settle for less
So you've literally talked to every woman on earth who speaks like that. I think being alone is better than settling and bring miserable. And I do know women who feel the same and some who did not settle and are happy they did. It because they ended up with someone who was perfect for them.
Exceptions vs the rule and the studies have shown time and again you are wrong. Also men and women are different in brain chemistry, hormones, etc. Finding the perfect someone doesn't exist, there is a high statistical probability that the most ideal partner for you will never come into contact with you because the Earth is a big place. Most everyone settles. It's called "settling down" for a reason and they aren't referring to R&R. 74% of the Millennial men are single and unmarried. Divorce rates were sky high and now the rate of marriage is down to about 1/3 of what it was just a generation ago. You dont understand the situation of young men today or you just dont appreciate it. Most women would choose to settle down with somebody rather than die alone. Even if that means a legion of stray cats. Men are much more easily able to adapt to being alone than women.
That is fine and all. But I am not addressing the masses. I am talking to one girl. Yeah ok statistically women tend to settle. Who cares. Just because the statistics say it happens doesn't mean I have to be an advocate of it. Yeah divorce rates are climbing. I'm gonna venture a guess and say it's because people are settling for people who aren't right for them. I still say alone beats settling for someone who doesn't make you happy or worse. Just because something happens doesn't mean it's right
you're still blue pilled. You are stuck in the old world thinking. You need to get your head out of it. The best advice you can give someone would be based on statistics and recorded data to try to give them the best chance for success, not anecdotal evidence to the contrary. Also the reason divorces went up so high is for a multitude of reasons, all of which were political in aim. Too long of a story to tell because it spans from the start of the sexual revolution to present day and I dont have the time for that kind of history lesson. Better Bachelor, Terrence Popp, Sandman, Tom Leykis, and Jennifer Moleski have all the info you need to draw the educated conclusions to the problem.
Are you willing to get married without inviting the state and signing papers? Just you, him, your families and a priest for the ceremony. If you refuse to consider this then you're a hypocrite.
Im not the big huge wedding type or big proposal type, tbh i would rather the court house with just me n him thats all, i just want to be prepared for anything that comes throwing my way like pregnancy, which scares the living shit outta me
So you basically want to invite the state, sign papers and then have legal power over his head. Looks like he is a careful man and knows how to recognise danger.
until the shoddy court system does its job and rule equally in favor on someone regardless of gender, men will continue to be scared, and I don't blame them.
@Unit1 exactly. If they are two poor 18 year olds just get a prenup to eliminate alimony and all set. If they buy a house together and split they probably should share it.
So this is why in my lifetime only 2 women asked me how I'm still single π and I'm 25 years old. Gah. Life. So full of unsurprising surprises. We'll get used to it like a second skin or something.
Because in the end we'll lose HALF of our shit lol. Women can suddenly feel the need to "move on", then she'll take half of our shit because its legal for her to do so. Nah no thanks.
You shouldn't have to compromise your values. Not getting married because of the divorce rate is a lame excuse. It would be like someone saying they would not go out because they may get killed by a drunk driver.
Marriage is scary simply because of the divorce rate. Half of all marriages fail. I don't WANT marriage but because I am going to have kids, I'll do it for her. I also don't even WANT kids but because I'm an only child and male, I HAVE to.
Heathen men tend to fear marriage because Heathen men will most likely end up being with a Heathen women who suck. When you suck as a person you tend to attract likewise individuals.
This coming from an expert? Here's the facts, Marriage is an institution and it's dead. Marriage is recognized by the state and has nothing to do with spirituality. If it did then the state would have zero involvement. So all marriages in the modern world are a farce. Enjoy those divorce papers, infidelity, and that alimony payment.
Not afraid of it, just don't think it's necessary. Life would be the same.. Yay, now the government officially has documented that we're officially together...

The real question is why are more women not afraid of that shit?

literally every woman that talks/thinks like that winds up alone or with a man she doesn't respect lmao.

They aren't. There's just no benefit in marriage for them. So women will have to bring a good argument to the table.
I can also ask why does it have to be marriage? Why are girls so afraid of not being married? This is exactly what I had in my mind

Look up "divorce rape". I don't think women will look it up and maybe women even know it but don't talk about it.
Oh they know, they just pretend not to.
@Juxtapose Either that or they won't tell their plans even if we say so.
I mean think about it - no fuckboy goes to tell the women "i will just have sex with you for one night and then forget about you".
Same thing.

1. Are both of you religious? Is that why you're waiting until marriage?
2. Does he have significant assets? Like owns his own house?
Id give drastically different advice depending on the answers.
I wonder What has a poor man to lose in a divorce?
Maybe that's why poor men are single π

Gah. Life. So full of unsurprising surprises. We'll get used to it like a second skin or something.
Because the risks involving marriage on a guy are much higher than for the woman.
Because in the end we'll lose HALF of our shit lol. Women can suddenly feel the need to "move on", then she'll take half of our shit because its legal for her to do so. Nah no thanks.

Getting the law involved in your love life is so bizarre. Why do you need the government in your bedroom?
Or the love life. Weird fantasies people have.

Lol quote of the day. βWhen you suck as a person you tend to attract likewise individuals.β ππ
@Jack9949 I prefer this one, "Monsters aren't born, they'e made"
Wait until marriage for what? Umm you all can still date now.
Divorce. It is pretty expensive especially when in most cases she is entitled to half the assets.
Whoa. I read your whole story. Just sign a prenup.
Its much more dangerous for men than for women. We lose EVERYTHING in divorce and suffer the most loss.
Most men can't hand the pressure of that much commitment and responsibility
I'd break up with him if I were you, he clearly doesn't respect your wishes
Not afraid of it, just don't think it's necessary. Life would be the same.. Yay, now the government officially has documented that we're officially together...
