Should I take down photos in my son room of my ex parter (who passed away) me and my son?

I'm in a really loving effectionate relationship at the moment. Haven't been this happy in a long time.. there just is one thing that we bicker over.. I have a little boy he's 5 now. And his dad passed away in 2019 we had a really toxic relationship.. but I stayed because I loved him I was also young he was my first proper person. Then we have a baby. And he dies and now I have moved on and have fully en in love I had some photos made so my son could have them in his room of my son me and his dad

. And my current partner can't stand it... he think I'm still in love with my ex and that means I'm putting my him 2nd.. I'm genuinely doing this to see who's in the wrong here.

We live together. Our social life is the same. We have a really close relationship we a are best friends. But he seems to think that it not normal. And I agree in a way it wouldn't be normal if my ex hadn't had passed and I still had pictures up but he has and it was a massive thing to happen..

It’s a bit ridiculous to me to be jealous of a man who cannot be a threat.

That shows a lot about the character of the man you are now with. I hope for you both he isn’t the same tough type of person your ex was.

Your son deserves to know who his father was. I would keep the pictures where they are.

This is exactly what I thought... its for my son. Not for me to go and look at.
Put it this way.
If I'm in my sons room. Putting clothes away. Or cleaning. My partner will say. "You have a good time in there" "missing your ex" "staring at his photos"
It's horrible. But I'm doing the right thing by asking opinions

I'm sorry this guy is a pig. His attitude and his jealousy over some photos of a child's dad who passed away is absolutely disgusting. Did you ever once think about your son and how he would feel if you take those photos down? The photos should stay. If he won't accept it, than he is not the guy for you.

Thank you. My son loved them when I put them there. There in no way shrine or somewhere to fo and cry. There just pictures in his room on the wall..

Im a widower. And absolutely under no circumstances would i deal with that. Those pics are for the kid, not you. He doesn't exist anymore. Nothing to be jealous of. It'd be a touch different if you were throwing it in his face comparing them. But its literally pictures for your son of his father. Me personally I won't be with someone who isn't accepting of the Lost spouse. I absolutely refuse to argue about my dead wife. She's not here. And I'm not stroking anyone's ego or corrupting memories for them.

Um no. The new partner shouldn't be a jealous c**t and controlling. Nobody has the right to tell someone to take a photo down of a deceased person especially when they are not married and that is your child father who died and is zero threat.

Thank you for your advice. I thought the same. But then I also wanted my son to see that his mum and dad loved each other and we where once a family. I don't want my son to ever forget his dad and to ever feel there where any bad times when his dad was alive. And regardless of what really happened. My son should believe his dad was a super hero. Amazing man and loved him. I want to paint the perfect picture of his dad. I wouldn't want him to know any of the horrible things that happened.

I loved my sons father. But Ill never have him back.
I wanted my new partner to WANT to talk with me about him and comfort and support me. And it's just the complete opposite. I can't even say my child's fathers name without an evil eye across the room. Thanks for your advice
